I know that, but it's still a good study resource. Earlier in this thread I also posted links to free online high schools.

    directory

I have copied the links that have been submitted in this thread, and saved them as a single list. I haven't sorted them, but they are in a single list, if anyone wants them.

One website that was overlooked is WannaLearn.com. "Over 350 categories of free, first-rate, family-safe online tutorials, guides and instructionally oriented Websites!" Swedish, Accounting, Java...

I hesitate to post the entire list here, as it is rather long. If one of the Senior Members gives the green light, I'll post it.

No problem; email me it, and I'll put the list on my server permanently.

    Re: Re: directory

Perhaps the list could be posted to the board as a sticky? I know others have requested this as well.

What is a sticky? Where do I post the list that I have, so that it will be posted to the board as a sticky?

A sticky is a post which is permanently placed at the top of the list. This can only be done by an administrator of the board.

Thanks for your fine work in providing these links TC. As an aside, Athabasca U is in the process of converting to Moodle as its primary means of delivering most of its course materials. Some exceptions will be made for folks who cannot read materials strictly from a computer screen. I am also told by AU that not all courses will be totally online too.

Again, thanks for your work in providing these wonderful links.

Evidently, so is the UK's Open University.

I doubt that it will lead to any reduction in the fees that students pay. I'm told that for us at AU least, that we shouldn't put our hopes on it...:)

Indeed, it's been rightly said by many that this thread should have a sticky.

For computer science, there are many high quality, online video lectures at:

    ArsDigita University Archive

Many of the lectures are by MIT professors.
