You're right about the differences in programs...

The Religion Department at ENMU does offer some courses that are similiar to seminary courses. The reason for that is that for a long time, the major player in the Religion Department was the Church of Christ, which is not big on seminaries and takes a more academic approach.

Their religion major would be a religious studies major at most every other school.

Overall, I have found my undergraduate degree from ENMU quite useful and excellent preparation for my M. A. and onto my P.hd.
