My boss sent me a link to the best online business programs from U.S. News and Nova Southeastern University was not listed. If they are particularly well known for their distance education, why aren't they listed here?

I have spoken with reps of most of the doctoral programs at Nova. IMO, Nova is more of a non-tradittional school than a DL school. I can't see how graduates of any of the schools that offer DL doctorates would be better regarded than one from Nova.

At Nova, one can become just about anything:
    1. Physician
    2. Lawyer
    3. Dentist
    4. Optometrist
    5. Clinical Psychologist

Nova's lack of distance learning is why I am going to Touro. If they had a program that required less residence, I would attend in a hot second, never look back, and never be ashamed!

Good question - I suspect this may be out of date research work by US News. NSU has only been in the on-line MBA business for a year or two. There is nothing about their program that is weaker (or particularly stronger) than the other schools listed.

    And
    6. Pharmacist
    7. Audiologist
    8. Physical Therapist

I wonder if Ken (Walter) will choose to die if the only doctor that can save his life is a Nova graduate.

It says that Nova is on the radar screen... which gives it at least some credibility.

I wonder if Ike (Herbert) will seek therapy and learn to love himself.

    Ken,
If you are at the point of death or about to be convicted of a serious crime and the only doctor or lawyer that can save you is a Nova graduate, would you be thinking about US News ranking? For your information, many notable Americans have been saved by Nova graduates. If you need a list, I will forward it to your email address. I am not bluffing.

    Herbert,

If I am at the point of death and the only person who can save me has doesn't have a degree (self-study)... I don't give a damn!

  9. How's the H-W program going, anyway?

Now let me get back to my "Spelling & Punctuation Anomalies 101" reading.

The following list represents some of the growing number of colleges/universities that have hired Sarasota/Argosy University’s Graduates of either DBA /Ed.D. programs. This inter-net search does not include Psy.D graduates.

    North Carolina State University
    University of South Carolina
    Liberty University
    National Defense University
    Pepperdine University
    Cornerstone University
    University of Conn.
    Ohio Valley College
    Long Island University
    Hamline University
    Union Institute
    University of Houston
    University of MA
    Thomas College
    Florida International University
    Barry University
    University of North Florida
    Fort Hays State University
    Providence College

Also, Walden and Union have a small number of their former students teaching at Yale/Harvard University. During my search, I did not see any Nova’s graduates teaching at any of the respective Ivey League Schools.

I think what’s more important is what you bring to the table when one is seeking employment for a professorship position to include field/real-life experiences.

While I am not aware of any Nova graduate that works at Harvard or Yale, I know about hundreds that are teaching at tier-1 universities.

    I agree with you.

You may call me Herbert, Lulu, or Chaka. The fact is that my name remains what it is. I am not a chameleon. A leopard doesn't change her color. So, don't expect me to ever use a pseudonym to post here.
