    FYI

Syracuse University is offering blended degrees. These are limited residency (one week per semester) and very high quality programs. My bride is currently in the middle of an MS in Communication Management at Newhouse School of Public Communications at Syracuse and loves it.

    There is some info at:

I don't see anything new there. These degrees have been around for ages.

    Syracuse DL - $$$$$$$$$$$

bo79 is right, Syracuse has a strong DL tradition that dates back to the early days of non-traditional education.

pros: great school, great DL programs

cons: very expensive - close to outrageous ($870 per grad credit + fees). Even if you could afford it, would you invest that type of money when there are far less expensive yet comparable programs available? (unless, of course, you have an employer footing all/most of the bill)

I have a friend who completed the M.S.Sc. from Syracuse in the early 1990s and speaks highly of the program (via SU's distinguished Maxwell School of Citizenship and Public Affairs) but at today's prices, I'm not so sure that he would make the same choice.
