International Technological University’s EDBA is not accredited by ACICS

    EDBA program offered by International Technological University (www.itu.edu) is not accredited by ACICS. The ITU EDBA program offered in Malaysia and Vietnam are BOGUS.

    I am interested to know If the EMBA and MBA carry the same recognition and why would a University need to create an extension program such as EMBA and EDBA?

    • Diploma holder with bridging courses taken prior to enrolment.

    MBA Requirements

    The completion of at least 36 semester credit hours of graduate courses and/or thesis or project, including:

    The minimum requirements for full status degree admission are as follows:

    • Except for seniors at ITU, a baccalaureate in a related field from an accredited college or university is required.
    • Official transcripts or their equivalent (e.g., notarized copies) are required from institutions where the applicant earned credits or degrees that are relevant to admission at ITU.
    • An overall grade point average (GPA) of 2.50 (A = 4.00) is required.
    • The Graduate Record Examination (GRE) general test or GMAT for M.B.A. applicants is preferred, but not required.
    • Applicants whose native language is not English must meet one of the following requirements:

    (i) Take the Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL) within two years prior to admission. The minimum admission score is 550 on old or 213 on new grading system.
    (ii) Have completed at least thirty credit hours (30) of full-time study in a country where English is the native language and in a school where English is the language of instruction within five years of the date of enrollment.
    (iii) Have completed the required ESL courses at ITU or other ITU approved institutions

    An update on ITU. In February 2013, ITU received formal WASC Accreditation.
