Senator Hillary Rodham Clinton received some bad news today. She will be seriously challenged in her reelecton bid See story here.
Although Pirro is given an outside chance to actually beat Hillary, I think there's a chance to damage her future run for President. Given this real (as opposed to alleged) dirt on her family, I'm sure that she will not win - the Democratic machine will be sure to use this... Cheers, Mark
To level the playing field, I think BOTH women should dump their miserable husbands before the campaign starts.
Re: Re: Hillary gets serious opposition for Senate race Good point but we all remember Hillary's husband got impeached and caught in one lie after another.
Doggone it Jimmy, Stop bringing up the past. You know everyone will get stirred up. Dang it Jimmy . *( You know that I am joking. We must include all history, warts and all. No matter how it stirs us, we must study it for what it is)
I'm pretty sure this opponent is pro-abortion, pro-gun control, etc... While "Republican" on economic issues, she sounds like a Democrat on social ones. BLD
She's a moderate. Agree with you on the abortion issue but what's wrong with gun control (registration)? Yes, I do own a handgun and am licensed to carry.
Jimmy, I wasn't necessarily stating my own beliefs. My point was that she is not with the majority of Republicans on this issue. BLD
I was laughing at her speech - she apparently got her script out of order and waited an entire 30 seconds before getting her stuff together and re-starting. I guess she is unable to ad lib. I also thought it was funny that her criminal hubby is not mentioned on her website. She has no chance against Hilary. Guilliani should run - no one would really cares about his past indecresions this time around and he would have an excellent chance of winning.
At least Rudy would make it more competitive; he is about the only person who could equal Hillary's popularity in NY. Cheers, Mark
Re: Re: Re: Hillary gets serious opposition for Senate race True - but Albert Pirro was convicted on 34 counts of conspiracy, tax evasion and filing false tax returns - not to mention the paternity case against him. Sounds like he's more than equal to good 'ole Bill. Either way you look at it this will be a dirty campaign...and Hillary has more to lose here. Cheers, Mark
Fat chance of that. The party will crack and implode before a moderate gets nominated again. (And cracking implosions are no good for voter turnout)
Fat chance of what? Barry's post didn't say anthing about getting the nomination. He said Rudy has his "eye on the presidency." No fat chance here.
Interesting quote from an article on Jeanine and Al Pirro from 1999. http://newyorkmetro.com/nymetro/news/politics/newyork/features/862/index.html Makes one wonder if these pictures will surface during the campaign or what else has she done that might make her seem less "conservative" by some, but granted she is liberal on many issues anyway.
