Dormant, while I am at UFS, which is also going slow at the moment.

I need to revise my proposal to fit in the mold of business, versus education, which is where I had strayed to in my field study, and life is intervening. (My husband and I are taking care of two high maintenance dachshunds for a few weeks (in addition to our two) in a four story townhouse.

Slowly but surely. Those little dachshunds can be a a handful. I have an English bulldog and a French Bulldog. The little Frenchie is quite the rascal. And yes, they are very high maintenance. A four story townhome? that's a lot of floors.

    Talk later,

    Abner :)

Cheers for that. Also go to Textbooks and Books (T&B) Textbooks and Books (T&B)
they have a quality bookstore on ebay that you can buy books online. They offer very cheap books online for their discounted books. I purchased three textbooks from them and I am very satisfied. Fast delivery, and very reliable. Transactions are carried out through PayPal that is fast and secure.

How do you get abebooks to display the international editions?

You don't have to do anything. If you search for a particular textbook, and International Editions (IEs) are available, then they will be included in your search results; they will be labelled as IEs. If your search results don't include any IEs, then it means that no IEs are available.

Alternatively, abebooks has a special search page that will only search for IEs.

I have a paid subscription to scribd.com. It's not always guaranteed, but I found lots of books and articles that are difficult to get otherwise. I think they have a trial basis for you to decide if it works for you. My field is philosophy so I found a lot of out of print books. I first check scribd before going to any of the web sites mentioned above.

Amazon tends to have very good deals for used textbooks. I've always farvored it even over my University bookstore.

You go here, put your isbn number in, and search. Everything on the web will come up.

    textbooks online

I dunno if anyone else has suggested this but you might find pdf versions of textbooks online for free. I think most would be available as "torrents".

When I did a distance MBA at BTH, there were many students from developing countries in the program. Textbooks often were simply not available where they lived and many could not afford to buy them if they were (many US textbook companies do produce identical textbooks intended for the developing world that are much, much cheaper than US books). An anonymous person scanned ALLl the textbooks for the MBA course and put them online.
