At times, I thought my logon could be “can’t get out of the tank” instead of thinktank, but I have finally decided to accept Touro’s offer for their PhD in Education. I’m on my way! Thank you for all your input, patience, insight, and direction. You have been, and still are, a constant source of support for me. For those of you in the same position, here is my thinking: cost is the same as other programs, some B&M influence, federal aid, responsiveness to questions, WASC approval (important in California), and structure of program with classes competed in 18 months.

With TUI's recent acceptance by WASC, it would seem things have settled a bit in terms of future viability. Some had no doubts. I had some, but I'm relieved about the positive outcome.

    Good luck in your quest!

Haven't you done without a Touro long enough?

    Touro Doctorate?

Has anybody here ever done a Touro doctorate? I'm also looking at both the Ed.D. and DBA from the University of Southern Queensland. Yes, a doctorate. Rich Douglas got me thinking with a comment he made... and I started doing the math. The math makes sense not so much for where I teach (a community college) but for the extra money I'd make at the uni's I adjunct with.

You might want to consider the DBA at Charles Sturt since they are candidate for AACSB accreditation. It seems that The University of Southern Queensland will apply for AACSB accreditation but this is not a fact yet.

It is also important to verify that the EdD and DBA won't require residence at USQ as I know that they latter one requires at least one residency on campus.
