Interested in accounting, by chance? The University of Cennecticut--a national program--has an MS in accounting that can be completed in online 2 semesters. Pretty intense, but a quaick way to a business-type Masters that could get you a lot of traction in the corporate world. Of course, you'd have to take a semester or so of UG accounting courses to meet the prereqs.

Auburn U overall is actually rated higher than Florida State. Also Auburn has been ranked as one of the top 50 public universities in the country. You won't have any trouble using the degree in florida or anywhere else in the country.

I would rate UMass slightly higher than Auburn, but in your situation it isn't worth the extra money. If you like the format of the program and the cost is right go for the Auburn MBA.

Have you looked at Texas A&M University-Commerce program?
This can be finished in less then 2 yrs if you have a business undergrad degree. The name "Texas A&M University" might buy you some traction.

I looked at the program in my search, however I don't have a business undergrad. That's why I'm not considering Texas A&M at this point.

Maybe we're just confusing you at this point. Just go to Auburn or Florida State, either school is perfectly acceptable, well-regarded, either one will get you where you need to be, so long as your one goal in life isn't to work in Investment Banking or consulting at the highest levels or work for a tip-top accounting firm and have a shot at partner in a handful of years.

Just be thankful that you live in and plan on working in an area where there are plenty of well-respected MBA options available online.

    Best of luck!

Thanks to everyone for all your replies. I have researched many, many options and was wondering if I had missed anything. You have pointed out some excellent alternatives.

My plan at this point is to continue to persue going to Auburn. For the reasons I mentioned before, for my personal situation it will work out the best.

BTW, I don't plan on ever going into accounting! :)

Again, thanks to everyone! This forum is the best!
