To advance up the salary scale, I need upper division courses from a RA school. I already looked at LSU, but many of the courses are lower division. The course may be in education, English, Literature, health, history, economics or political science. My district does not accept units from Marymont College or Governors.

Try Univ of Arkansas. Tuition for out of state students is less than 300.00 per class (not per hour).

I would be willing to pay a little more if the convenience of no procotored exams was there.

LSU does offer quite a few upper level courses in many subject areas. For example, it offers four upper-level history courses, and seven upper-level English and literature courses.

Other good schools are Texas State University @ San Marcos, and Texas Tech (http://www.de.ttu.edu) which are also very inexpensive.

    Misty,
Someone here put me onto Northern Iowa State University @ 153.00 credit hr., they have upper level and grad classes. Example, the history courses...open to junior, seniors, grads etc. Most are independent study courses ( web ct or conventional mail & paper based) that you can knock out in as little as six weeks - year to complete. The registration is very painless, as an undergrad you simply sign up online and take the class, as a grad student, likewise you just sign up to take the class, and your status is considered undergrad while you have a transcript sent too them, by that time you are already in the assignments....they seem to be very good at enrollment....no loose ends to chase down!
    Best, Gavin
