Anyone know about this school? I understand it is now seeking licensing from the state of Indiana and intends to be an entirely online college.

I am in Shelby County but have a Franklin address and a Marietta phone number. That happens when one lives in the boonies, ha!

I have not heard of it and I also live in Indy. I do not think there is much need for something like this. Ivy Tech State College offers all classes, besides trade classes, online, as it is. They are a state school so they are cheap, and there is no difference, in transcript or degree, in taking these courses.

I went to Ivy Tech for a couple of semesters and transfered to the University of Indianapolis, a private school, and they accepted all of my credit and allow for extensive CLEP/DSST/Excelsior testing credits.

I do not think it is wise to go to an "online" school. They get a reputation about them, and you can get nearly the same thing from respected, reputable schools.

    Indpls U

I, too, am an Indy resident, and have heard zilch about Indpls U. I agree with one of the former posters - there is no really dire need for another online school here in town, but I'm sure the investors see it as an opportunity to make some of the billions in guaranteed loan $$ from the Feds.

I am an online student at Kaplan (formerly College, now...) University, and see some of the discussion forums have covered questions I wish I'd researched before the fall of 2002. I feel I'm getting a good education, but also see that the class of instructors has dropped significantly. They have no communications skills, and you'd expect someone with at least a Master's degree to have learned some, or at least the importance of having or pretending to.

And, when the school made a mistake and enrolled me in a different degree program than the one agreed upon, and I caught it, mentioned it, and they changed it, they again charged me the $95 enrollment fee. I have yet to dispute that b.s., but am certainly going to, since it's my $95 to pay back in the end...

A fellow student says he was made fun of for having an online degree, while interviewing for a job. The interviewer talked as if it was some Cracker-Jack degree, while the traditional B&M schools were the only credible ones...I thoroughly disagree with that assessment, as I know for a fact that I'm learning, and taking away valuable information from the courses I take. As I get older, having just turned 47 Friday, I see myself using the learned ideas and methodolgy to better see business practices and concepts than I would've ten or twenty years ago.

Well, gotta go, but will be glad to help others in any way I can!

    ... beacuse it's Pakistani

    Their website is here:

They claim "affiliations" with the University of Indianapolis and Intercollege in Cyprus (which offers University of Indianapolis degrees in Cyprus).

Wouldn't that make it Pakistanapolis instead of Indianapolis?

    Indianapolis U

I tried to open the "Contact Us" on the site and no page. I do not see a faculty for Indiana. Jon how did you come upon the site?

This sounds like a rip-off to me. I looked at the course work, and it appears that they are just taking the University of Indianapolis curriculum , and saying it is their degree. This may be some new international program that U of I is working toward, I dunno... I would contact U of I, 317-788-3368 or www.uindy.edu. I first opinion is that this is B.S.
