Moderators are not involved in running the forum. That would be Chip, and his two business partners, both named Nathan, and one other person whom I don't know. I don't know if either Nathan can do repairs, nor can I reach the one I know, Nathan Whiteside, from where I am at the moment, unable to do Email. I believe it is a standard form of Email, like [email protected] or nathan.whiteside or other permutation. Perhaps someone with Email can try, just in case. John

Someone asked me to come over and take a peak, I run a vBulletin Board my self.

If you look at the HTML source of the error you will see:

<!-- Database error in vBulletin 2.2.5:

Invalid SQL: SELECT username, invisible, userid
    FROM user
    WHERE inforum = 13
    AND lastactivity > 1103153180
    AND lastvisit <> lastactivity
mysql error: Got error 127 from table handler

Which means there is a table corrupt, probably the "user" table.

Someone with phpMyAdmin/MySQL Access needs to run a repair on the tables. It's possible other things are corrupt but it just hasn't been noticed yet.

My advice would be take the Board offline, run a repair on all the tables, prune your users, and get things running nice and neat. Of course this could also be caused by a disk failure on thie host's server which wouldn't be great news.

If the admins would like to contact me, I can help them get this fixed. I would also highly recommend upgrading to a new version of vBulletin as this one is very outdated and has some (I won't mention exactly) possible security issues.

Good luck all with your forum...

    Use the Back Door

Please try my last post/last thread gimmick. It seems still to work.

  7. Probably a reindexing wouldn't hurt as well (assuming that's not automatically part of the repair).

As of 7:10AM, December 17th, 2004, the forum seems to be up and running. Thanks Chip (or whoever was responsible for troubleshooting the problem):)
