I think Susan's assessment is a bit optimistic, but then again, I have a tendancy to over-analyze. Why not take two classes concurrently if you think you can do it? If you find that the time required is more than what you want to invest, cut back to a single class at a time after that.

I tried two classes at a time for about 6 months and found that one class usually suffered from lack of attention as a result. I'm back to one class at a time now.

    Thanks Rick

Thanks. I felt the same way. When I was doing a B & M Ph.D. program n applied economics, I ran into a fellow that was 48 (I was 42 then). Being much more atypical in a B & M program at our ages, we talked about how we would physically survive, since those programs tend to "haze" students. 80+ hour weeks, all-nighters, red eyes every day, were pretty much normal conditions. Basically we compared the program to our combined 45 years of professional experiance to develope a strategy. He was a retired cournel in the army and myself a real estate devloper. Each were project driven in our careers. Anyway, the academic work is episodic and what we found is that if we pursued it like a professional job on a daily basis, the amplitude of the work flow spikes coud be moderated. That is, if one does a little bite nearly every day, the big surges that seemed to crush the younger folks in front of deadlines could be "smoothed". We simply had to do this, as all-nighters were too physically punishing. In the end, we used our organizational skills in managing work flow efficiently and it was amazing how much easier it was. Younger folks learn over time that there is an enorumous difference between "importance" and "urgency" in orinally ranking project work flows. One must comprehend the "critical path". I'm hoping to crank two courses per term and would probably bag the program if this becomes too difficult, because it would just take too long.

    Thanks for your comments.

I am in the MBA - Criminal Justice program at NCU.

The studies are very demanding. I spend at least 20 hours a week minimum on each course. The mentors I have had have been amazing. My current mentor teaches full-time at Purdue, and she provides excellent feedback on each assignment. She is tough, but I enjoy the challenge and have learned a great deal from her.

Student services are very responsive to your needs. When issues have come up, they work hard to make sure issues are resolved.

The student portion of the website is easy to navigate and the course forums provide easy access for assignment submissions and mentor feedback.

I have been extremely impressed by NCU and highly recommend them!

    Call NCU!

They have been very helpful and forthcoming with information. I have been very impressed with their professionalism and vision. I will most likely go there for my PhD next year.

Give them a call, and ask them point blank whatever your concerns are.
