    Hello,
My name is Yogi Dorelis, I am an AF helo pilot and am thinking about the MBA from Touro Univ. Online. If anyone has any feedback about that program (how good it is, how hard, etc.) please drop me a few lines. I would greatly appreciate it. Thanks

Excellent program Yogi. I received my degree Dec 2000 and it is recognized by the IT multinational I work for. It is been quite helpful in my professional career.

Today, the MBA program seems more rigorous with increased number of faculty and specialization.

During my Ph.D. studies I worked as a graduate assistant and noticed good approval for the program from various students.

Go for it. The program is highly recommended.

Quite a few people here have earned their MBA from TUI. I completed my MS-ITM and it was really good.

The upside - low prices and no charge for books (you get CD's with coursework)

The downside - no books (I like books) and fair to poor customer service. I have called many times and get the voicemail for the operater because I do not know what extension to dial. They call back in two or three days if at all.

I served as a graduate assistant in the TUI MBA program for a year while doing some of my Ph.D. coursework. It's a good MBA program that is designed to accommodate the needs of both military and civilian students. The faculty is first rate. I can highly recommend the school because of my past GA work and current involvement in writing my dissertation.

    Best wishes,

    Dave

From my personal observations, the MBA program has gotten much more difficult (or challenging if you prefer that term) over the 2 years I've been enrolled. But it my opinion, that's all the more reason to enroll... it's no cakewalk and no one can accuse you of taking the old "pay your fee, get your degree" approach.

Sure, you may breeze through one or two courses and get a false sense that it's gonna be easy. But you'll hit a brick wall in a few courses, too ... just like any other worthwhile academic endeavor. Wait until you experience the wrath of Dr. Wollan....hehe.

I am halfway through MGT599, which is the MBA's capstone (final) course and honestly feel I have recieved a quality education.

You're military and can't beat the price. Plus, as an ossifer, you know you'll eventually need a masters just to be competitive. I know a whole gang of CGOs who are knocking it out. You should too.

Congratulations! By the way, Dr. Wollan is one of several of my favorite TUI professors.

There are other easier alternates like Northcentral. Less course "work" !!

Some of the serious players are

    California State University DH
    Colorado state
    Uni of North Alabama
    Texas A&M

All the above 4 are RA's, AACSB or ACBSP's and state owned.
