I've just earned my low-residency MFA in Creative Writing, and I loved the instruction. If I want to continue to a doctoral degree in Creative Writing or English, what are my distance-learning options (e.g., low residency or no residency)? What pitfalls should I watch out for? Many thanks, Colin Sargent

To my knowledge, you options are limited to the following:
    U of Kent
    U of Melbourne
    U of New England
    UNISA
    U of Teesides
U of Wales (both Abeyrstwyth & Lampeter)
None of these should be considered to be zero residency.

(of course, you could do Union but that is an Interdisciplinary type place and you'd have to navigate that whole idea)

    Hi Colin,
Can I ask which low-residency MFA program you just completed? I'm working on my BA and would like to go on to a low-residency MFA in creative writing. I'm thinking of applying to both Warren-Wilson and Vermont College. Did you attend either of those, and if so, how was your experience?

    Thanks,
    Amy Greene
