Just curious. What made you refer to Columbia Southern University as being the "mother of all scams?"

I don't know how much money Almeda have. Accreditation is voluntary anyway, unless you want to work in Oregon with a degree.

Is that such a bad thing?

 

When I searched the third-largest of the on-line resume-posting services, I found 854 people listing an Almeda degree. 854 times $3,000 = $2.5 million.

And this service lists about 4% of employed Americans.

 

If those 854 people were smart they would have claimed a degree from Almeda and not sent in the $3000. Of course getting a degree from Almeda would tend to negate the assumption though.

 

I did a google search a while back and found a NASA scientist from the JPL with an Almeda degree. We should return to unmanned flight.

Not sure they would be "smart"! In fact, it almost sounds like a perfect "Darwin award" scenario.

How could they help? You're not getting anything but a useless piece of paper. You're certainly not getting an education.Why not just be happy with your life experience as is?

What kind of degree do you need? Plenty of folks here to help.
