Thanks for the assist. I've never read through the SRU website and so I don't recognize when it's being quoted (especially without attribution) I know this makes me less than a DL fanatic (deep sigh). Help me now with "OOOhhhhh this blows me off..." This means what exactly?

I noticed the above little gem after posting the http://saintregis.edu.lr/former_sru/important.htm site on another DI forum, Accredited vs Unaccredited vs State Approved, in the thread "SRU requires RA degrees..".

The specificity of naming this particular group of forums is interesting to say the least. But whenever anyone or anything is criticized there's likely to be backlash. Backlash to criticism generally falls into two categories:

    1. Legitimate answers to baseless or unfair criticism.

    2. Simple backlash in situations where the truth hurts.

It's not too tough to figure out into which category SRU falls.

Thanks. I suspected as much but in an age where "bad" is good, one tries not to jump to conclusions. Others might endeavor to speak in the common tongue when not "in the hood."
    (I really don't care, much)

    SRU Dr Novacks New Book

Just a Little Titbit . AS i spoke before on www.degreetoday.com They are run by Dr Novack as pre Approved Degree Programme now asa we all know a pre approved Application from one of these so called Independant Providers . Yes you have to register with SRU they provide thee Degree at cost usually for 600 us but the Ind School must now wait for it provide a Course . by Assesment , by Evaluation or by Transfer Credits and what else? but on the bottom of the Application is a request to give Dr Novack all the rights of your information to use for his fortcoming Book and wait for it ! if you are a good /great School you can pay a franchise like LIEC LEBANNON and be exposed to the world as a Degree Mill . Does Dr Novack plan to retire !Why dont we all wish Degree Info a Big Thank and for one if SRU or any" Lady of Atlantis " ever had the nerve to expose their Scams Frauds Degree Mill Half Truths . Economical with the Information in a Court of Law. I will add to the Fighting Fund to expose these" Rotten Apples "Happing Munching Dr David PS Are their any fellow Greeks out their ?

What's fun about all this is by writing that strident, breathy "alert", they've probably directed numerous would-be students to degreeinfo just to see what all the hubub's about. Once here, many likely see what SRU's really about and elect to go elsewhere. They need a better marketing department.

    all those envelopes...

SRU maintains that it handles 150,000 applications per year so they must not think marketing is a problem.

    Re: all those envelopes...

150,000!?! Wow! They need to be marketing their extraordinary selectivity then--it must be along the lines of Harvard! Or do you think they're actually admitting everybody who applies and trying to educate all of the tens of thousands of those accepting students simultaneously out of that basement office--ahem, institution of higher learning?

just when you think its safe

It appears that St Regis is actually more aggresive now than before.

Change has to come about from Liberia, to control St Regis.

SRU is apparently not in Liberia. IIRC it is run from Oregon. It's connection with Liberia is apparently just some payoff money to someone working in the Liberian embassy.

    Bill are you joking?!

With the ODA on the watch?!

I think the connections are Spokane WA, NY, and else where.

Okay, I must confess to a personal flaw. I always considered Washinton and Oregon to be stuck up in the same corner of the USA and seem to frequently confuse the two. Thanks for the correction.

Ah, what's Oregon anyway but a poor man's Washington?--just joking, I know that living in Kansas my house is full of many glass windows.

Well, it is true that Washington, Idaho, Montana and a good part of British Columbia use to be part of Oregon! :D
