    Roy,
You're just dead wrong on this one.

On Saturday, December 19, 1998, President William Jefferson Clinton was impeached by the United States House of Representatives, becoming only the second President in U.S. History, and the only man popularly elected as President to have been so charged.

The House voted 228 to 206 to approve proposed Article I of Impeachment (Perjury before a Federal Grand Jury), and voted 221 to 212 to approve proposed Article III of Impeachment (Obstruction of Justice).

He was definitely impeached. How could you not know this?

Ever since Bush has been on this mission to right all of the wrongs of the world in the name of a higher father, I have begun to understand why the majority of the world hates us. We are loud, ever confrontational, (just read these political posts), arrogant, self-centered, fat, wasteful, ignorant of others and just dont give a damn of the consequences of our actions. I dont like the direction in which we are headed. We just cant keep dropping bombs on those who dont agree with us.

    Geno,
You're free to move elsewhere if you hate the USA so much. What's holding you back? You can join Whoopi Goldberg, Alec Baldwin, and the rest of those who moved as promised when G.W. won the presidency. Ooopps....that's right, they never left! Wonder why? Could it be because they realized that this IS the greatest country in the world, and that we should be proud of it, and that nowhere else even comes close to providing what we have here?

    You prove my point.

Your only point was why you hate America.

Read my post again - I said I can understand why other people hate us. I hate to see our nation so hated by others because of our arrogant leaders and their policies or agendas. I love this country and do not like the direction we are headed. OK?

You have it all wrong. Those who disagree are never forced to move elsewhere. Instead we VOTE out the offending parties. Let's hope this happens in November.

Michael Moriarty quit his part on "Law and Order" and moved to Canada during Slick Willy's tenure. This wouldn't actually be a case of a conservative doing what he believed while liberals just talk the talk.

    Sure.

And those of us who hate unconvicted murderers like OJ Simpson and unconvicted serial rapists (only posing as an offical serial liar) like Bill Clinton will continue to shun and denigrate them since they are undeserving of more.

OJ Simpson and Bill Clinton? The comparison alone is enough to dismiss the comment.

Bill Clinton was no "serial rapist." Unlike OJ, Clinton was never even charged with such things, much less tried. And OJ was found by a civil court to be liable for the victims' deaths. Bill Clinton settled with Paula Jones out of court--her case was never heard. Of course, she could have pressed it, but she didn't. I wonder why?

It is this kind of hyperbolic rhetoric that polarizes the nation. It inspires me to comment on the draft-dodging, Air-National-Guard-entering-because-of-his-daddy's-connections-then disappeared-from-duty-and-skipped-a-physical-exam-and-removed-from-flight-status, drunk-driving, cocaine-snorting, lousy-studying, oil-company-bankrupting, Carlysle-Group-and-Saudi-nuzzling, wrong-country-invading, 9/11-Commission-stonewalling, privacy-rights-removing, deficit-building, lying, SOB that resides in the White House. But on second thought, why bother? ;)

Don't not be so sure; smarter and better informed people than I (see bottom) contradict you!

"Juanita isn't the only one: Bill Clinton's long history of sexual violence against women dates back some 30 years " (February 1999) http://chblue.com/Feb1999/022599/clintonwomen022599.htm

"Women have been charging Bill Clinton with sexual assault since his days as a Rhodes Scholar at Oxford 30 years ago.

"A continuing investigation into the President's questionable sexual history reveal incidents that go back as far as Clinton's college days, with more than a dozen women claiming his sexual appetites leave little room for the word 'no.'

"Juanita Broaddrick, an Arkansas nursing home operator, told NBC's Lisa Myers five weeks ago she was raped by Clinton. NBC shelved the interview, saying they were confirming all parts of the story, but finally aired it Wednesday night.

"Broaddrick finally took her story to The Wall Street Journal, which published her account of the brutal rape at the hands of the future President, followed by The Washington Post and some other publications.

"But Capitol Hill Blue has confirmed that Broaddrick's story is only one account of many attempted and actual sexual assaults by Clinton that go back 30 years. Among the other incidents:

    -"Eileen Wellstone," at Oxford....
-Carolyn Moffet, a legal secretary in Little Rock in 1979...
-Elizabeth Ward, the Miss Arkansas who won the Miss America crown in 1982, told friends she was forced by Clinton to have sex with him
-Paula Corbin, an Arkansas state worker, filed a sexual harassment case against Clinton after an encounter in a Little Rock hotel room.
-Sandra Allen James, a former Washington, DC, political fundraiser says Presidential candidate-to-be Clinton invited her to his hotel room during a political trip to the nation's capital in 1991, pinned her against the wall and stuck his hand up her dress.
-Christy Zercher, a flight attendant on Clinton's leased campaign plane in 1992.

In february of 1999 when this story appeared and after the interview of White House volunteer Kathleen Willey - claiming harrassment by the president - aired on NBC, a poll showed most viewers believed her!

House Democrat Chief Investigative Counsel David P. Schippers believes that Clinton's sordid, criminal "sex-life" was really why there was no Senate impeachment trial - the first time in history where no real trial took place after an impeachment was voted by the House. NOT ONE of the Senators examined the evidence! He argues persuasively that Clinton was guilty of perjury, suborning witnesses, and other crimes - hence my invidious "OJ" comparison above.

See "Sellout: The Inside Story of Clinton's Impeachment" (2000) http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/tg/detail/-/0895262436/qid=1091786974/sr=1-1/ref=sr_1_1/102-7404885-0148166?v=glance&s=books

It will make you ill; it has turned the most hardened Clinton supporter I know ashen and shame-faced. (But not the so-called "feminists" - they are beyond any shame or doutb - unless you're the brave Tammy Bruce of LA's NOW, who has since been persona non grata.)

You're comparing apples with oranges. Bill Clinton never killed anyone. His only crime was having sex with an intern. Sure he lied about his affair. He was obviously trying to save face (and his marriage). OJ Simpson's story is completely different (no need to comment on his crimes).

You're missing the point. It takes two to tango. She had the option of saying no to his advances.
