Can't have a BA and enter Harvards ALB program-why not?

Why do some schools, such as Harvard, not allow student to enter the ALB program if they already have a bachelor’s degree?


A student who has already earned a bachelor's degree may not become a candidate for the AA or ALB at Harvard Extension School, nor may a student be enrolled simultaneously as a degree candidate at two institutions. Students cannot be admitted and graduate in the same academic year.

 

What about the ALM? Requires some residency. Expensive but a masters from Harvard could only impress.

 

The ALM cost more money, requires more work, and requires a residency.

 

Why dont you just call or write them? I have found that when I have corrisponded with any school at Harvard, they have always been helpful and prompt. On a side note, when you go to Cambridge and you see the different buildings to the schools, the two smallest are for education and the extention school. (Not counting the Quad of Radcliff.)
