This whole dispute should easily be fixed by asking HU to compare the list of graduates they hold with the list of graduates seeking refunds!

As someone else said on this thread; surely HU must keep a record of the diplomas they issue!

It's easy to fake a diploma - ask any printer!But it is difficult to alter universities records!

 

what if a university just erase all the record for those looking for the refund students. This is something very easy to do it internally as long as their computer is ON! LIKE WHAT HAPPEN TO ENRON AFTER HAVING FAKE REPORT AND FOLOWING DAY THE ACCOUNTANT OR THEIR LAST RESORT IDEA --- BURN THE RECORD! THE JAP CAN DO IT THIS WAY LIKE PEARL HABOUR WAY! THIS IS THE TRICK THAT JAP USUALLY PLAY! You are saying something that if someone playing very gentlement and do you think that HU of ASH will keep the record after suspected that this holder of "toilee paper" would like to seek for the refund... sound very childies.

 

I was not sure what you meant by 'burning all the records' so I have done some research into this whole matter of refunds from HU.

From what I can see, the Hawaii Depatment of Consumer Affairs sued HU for allowing their overseas representatives to use the HU name on their websites without mentioning that HU is unaccredited.

Students who enrolled in HU through these representatives have the option of getting a refund. I guess that is what Ben is trying to do. I would also guess he has enrolled through an Asian representative - maybe Malaysia.

I would also imagine that before HU issued a diploma to a graduate, they would need to have at least a copy of the signed application form and copies of proof of previous studies. So HU MUST have some record of who they have issued diplomas.

So, if someone makes a claim against HU for a refund and provides a copy of their diploma, and HU finds they have no record of having issued that diploma or enrolling that student, then they could conclude the diploma is a fake!

If the student disputes this, then they could get a copy of their application form and provide proof of their studies.

It would be at this point that both the student and HU can determine whether the diploma is a fake.

Now why would the overseas representative want to provide a fake diploma? The answers may range from the overseas representative is selling degrees, or that the rep.is not paying the university their fees, or ....

 

Ben,how do you know your diploma is real?

Ben, how do you know your diploma is not a fake diploma? Where did you graduate through - HU direct, or through one of HU's representatives? Did you actually receive your diploma directly from HU, or through an agent?

With all the talk in the media about the huge number of fake diplomas coming out of India and China, there is a possibility that HU is correct IF you diploma did not arrive in the mail DIRECTLY from the university!

I am curious....

 

IF the diploma that Ben has IS a fake, I would imagine that the LAST thing HU would want to do is destroy the student record!

In fact, if it is a fake, they would certainly have NO student/graduation record!

I would think that HU would be contacting the authorities in the country where the diploma was faked (presuming HU have all the evidence, and who knows with these sort of deals!) and reporting the matter!

Let's see what Ben has to say about his diploma and its source...

Or maybe it has dawned on you that maybe you are holding a fake degree!!!!

 

One way to find out the real thing is either send the diploma for chemist separation test and if the Ink, signature, paper source and the seal is proven is the same then this should be from the HU of ASHsss.

Probably HU might play a trick that saying I have few types of ink, paper, seal and "signature". Sometime I ask my friend to sign and sometime my neigthbour to sign and sometime my daughter to sign or my girl friend to sign from Jap.

If so, then tell us where you received your diploma from :direct from HU or through one of HU's overseas reps.?

Allegation Against HU from Singapore

I received an open letter from Kenneth Chen Yew Peng(former HU China REP),ha has a company,Supremesc Education group that worked with Japppp Arthur in China,he want to publish his open letter here to alert all the Chinese victims to know what had happening in the past

Dear All.
1.Supreme is not associated with the official announcement dated 23 March 2004 on the HU website(www.honolulu-university.edu),which stated that Dr.Kenneth Chan Yew Peng will cease to act as the chief rep for HU in China

2.In conjuction with Supreme"s application for an educational license from the ministry of Education, Singapore, HU has appointed Supreme to be its Singapore agent to promote MBA deree programs for a period until December 2004.

3. We regret that the official announcement dated 23 March 2004 on the HU website, to terminate the partnership agreement with Supreme, was an unreasonable act that has damaged the interests of Supreme. This has also gone against the ethics expected of an educational institution. arthur Yamada's greedy character couse this action. He terminated Supreme and dealt diretly with the students and expect to gain more benifit,he printed and delivered HU diplomas to any of the Chinese agent who are able to pay him USD1,625-00 per diplomas,he had at least sold and collected 400 plus diplomas from the students of Supreme in China and Singapore with the helping hand of a former Supreme staff,Richard Kew Kin Fatt(Singaporen)

4. The reputation of HU has been severely affected by the widespread media coverage of its ongoing lawsuit in Hawaii, USA. In addition, HU has failed to adhere to its pledge made during a press conference in China in Sept 2003, to seek international accreditation from the relevant authorities, in actual fact, HU did not apply at all, Arthur lies to public this is a cheating, the FBI should investigate on him.

5. HU did not take into account the enormous efforts made by Supreme in dealing with the dissent among the students in response to the negative media report, Those students who initially wanted a full refund has been successfully persuaded not to pursue the matter.

6. Supreme strongly objects to the following actions by HU:
(a)Hu has been dubbed the diploma-mail by industry abervers, owing to the fact that HU frequently, awards degree certificates, with no regard for the conditions stipulated in the recruitment agreement pertaining to the payment of course fees.
(b)On 8 March 2004, HU arranged for some matriculated students who have yet to fulfill their course requirements, to attend an HU graduation ceremony organized by an unauthorized company in China, without informing Supreme. This has been brought to the attention of local authorities of Singapore and Supreme is currently under inquiry.
(c)Hu awards degree certicicates on the basis that payment is received, with no regard of the modular credits attained by the student in question.

No, Amused has no connections with HU whatsoever. I am just fascinated (amused!!) by what is happening here between HU and its graduates.

In fact, I am not sure whether HU are saying the graduates whom they are allegedly refusing to compensate have diplomas that have been printed elsewhere, or the qualification they have have not been earned (even though the diploma was issued by HU!)

Perhaps Ben or AK47 can help me answer this one?

 

Probably Amused should throw the question to jeffrey and he should know more better seem many students had lodge complaint and seeking refund from HU of ASHssss.

Well, are you a graduate or under the flag ship of HU of ASHsss which listed in the list of HU international director or AF.

There is not important whether I am the student or not a student of HU of ASHsss seeking for the refund. The question and feedback I throw is based on logic and fact finding! You look like a black hand standing behind HU. Are you a Jap.

 

Just to repeat what I said earlier - I have NO connection whatsoever with HU - as a student, graduate, board member, etc. or in any other capacity. And I am not a Japanese!

I am just asking some questions which i think may get to the heart of this issue of 'fake' degrees. I am curious to know just what this means! I am also curious to know what Jeffrey Brunton knows cause he obviously is not taking action.

There just appears to be more to this saga than meets the eye.....
