    Books

I read probably 3-5 nonfiction books per week and 1-2 fiction books per month. Right now I am reading the Self-Aware Universe by Amit Goswami and The Blind Assassin by Margaret Atwood. I also love the Diana Gabaldon books for pure escape.

My reading obsession began as a child and has continued. Several members of my family are quite similar...perhaps it's genetic. :D

If you discount what I'm reading for my studies (several books, and tons of articles), I usually get through 4-5 a month. I usually only read one book at a time, although right now I'm reading two: Maynard Solomon's biography of Mozart, and rereading (for the umpteenth time) my favorite novel, The Master and Margarita by Mikhail Bulgakov.

My favorite genres are (for fiction): espionage (Le Carre and Deighton are favorites), historical fantasy (a la Mary Stewart), twentieth century Russian literature, non-fiction in just about any area, and, okay, I'll admit it: The Harry Potter series! Yes, I'm one of those rapid adult fans. :)

    Regards,

    Adrienne
