I am just about at the 90 credit mark - 87 credits, taking another CLEP in a month. I agreed to myself when I started back that my primary gameplan was going to be Charter Oak, but when I got close, I'd re-evaluate my situation and see what I wanted to do with my credits. I Started off earning 65+ credits at the University of Delaware for a Psych degree, left school for 8 years, and now I have earned a bunch of easy CLEP and Dantes credits centering around business: Intro to Bus, Management, Marketing, Micro and macro Econ, Dantes in MIS and Supervision. So my new major is Business/Bus Admin. Here is my situation. I want to finish at a better "name" school. I don't want to discount Charter Oak at all, but my company does pay for college - $3500 a year. I want to finish at the end of 2005, so that leaves me about $7000 to spend on 10 classes. Can someone recommend a good online university, where 3 semester hour classes range from $700-800, is fully accredited, and has a good name? I did some research, but a lot of the places have residency requirements, some of them 25% or more credits. Again, I don't want to discount the names of other colleges. All I am looking for is a brighter spot on my resume. Thanks TomC
Tom My Web site, Distance Learning Business Degrees, lists approximately 200 programs offered entirely via distance education by regionally accredited US-based schools. Many will accept CLEP and DANTES for credit and a few will actually issue letter grades for them (this may or may not be desirable). Just click on the link below my name; I’m sure you’ll find a school that will meet your needs.
Great Site. This is taking me a long time to go through all of these. If you like, I can send you information on the minimum # of credits you need to obtain from each option. Ones I've seen so far are 30,33, and 45!!! 30 is fine, but 45 is a bit much. TomC
Try, Washington State University www.distance.wsu.edu. Cost is $242.00 per credit. They offer a few degree's at 30 credits for residency and are a fairly reputable school. I will graduate in May of this year from there. Fair to middlin football team as well. Cory

The term "residency requirements" is ambiguous. Do you mean they require on-campus attendance? The vast majority of colleges have "residency requirements" in the sense of requiring you to take courses from them, usually 10 3-semester-hour courses, or 25% of the 120 credits required for the degree.
Few credits & inexpensive. Eastern Ill. University requires only 20 credits from them. Governors State University requires only 24 credits from them. Respectible, inexpensive B.A. degree programs.
