I have checked out this program - appears to be online with no residency, AACSB, $250 / credit, 4 10-week sessions per year and allows 12 transfer credits (48 credit program).

Overall, a great package. For me, with the transfer credits, I would be looking at $9k and no residency.

    My questions are:

Is there any better deal for AACSB/no res/recognized institution?

Can anyone comment on thier experience in the program?

There's just loads of threads on this forum related to MBA programs. You'd have to do some sifting if you really wanted an answer to your question because no one is going to recreate all the info in a new thread. In the meantime, you might check out the UMass MBA program. It might not meet all the criteria you've listed but it's got to be close.

Thanks Jack, for the umass info...but, very pricey compared to Nebraska.

As far as my 2nd question, I cannot find any info from a current student regarding Nebraska's program by doing a search - so still hoping there is someone out there with insight on their experience with the program.

I guess what I am trying to say is - it appears to be an ideal program: aacsb, no residency, 4x10 format, relatively cheap. But I wonder if I am missing something since there are thousands of posts for expensive, unaccredited programs - but nothing on this one.

    Please enlighten me.

UNL looks good ... and especially if they accept previous work done. Did you find out how old and how large the program is? That could be one of the resons why there is not much talk about it.

    Hi fanatik,

I believe that, as of last spring, the UNL mba program was for in-state students only. I couldn't find any mention of this limitation on their website now, so I assume they have changed that. This limitation (hopefully defunct) may explain why there isn't a ton of people with experience with this program. Of course, their program is also somewhat longer than the typical mba. This might dissuade some potential students.

As to a better (or cheaper) program.
What state do you reside in? I have found this to be a huge factor in tuition costs, especially with AACSB accredited state universities.

    Good luck,
    Tony

    Tony,

I am from WA - no distance mba here. In talking to UNL recently, they stated that the program is NOT limited to in-state residents and is $250 / credit. If this is in fact a new development, it would indeed help explain the lack of experienced students on this discussion board.

16 classes over 2 years, isnt this about average for AACSB?

    Thanks,
