Yeah, it can be difficult to get them evaluated. But ACEI will do it, no problem. https://acei-global.org/ And per https://www.uopeople.edu/wp-content/uploads/2021/11/Transfer-Credit-Policy-4.pdf they'll accept any NACES member, so ACEI will work for UoPeople.

Good point. Could be! Never noticed. Their website claims about 16 memberships - NACES is definitely not one.

    Nice work, Det. Lerner! :)

They are chartered members of AICE.
I read in the past that AICE may have acceptance level.
I checked my employer and my wife's employer web site the AICE is not listed but NACES is.
Not saying that other institutions and employers don't accept AICE member evaluators.
    I didn't research further.
AICE appears to me as legit and respectful association but I don’t know how their member evaluating agencies accepted.

    No problem-o!
In Post #101 from RachelAz83, UofPeople accept NACES and AICE evaluations. Thus, anyone of those members under these two organizations would be acceptable.
WGU accepts any from both AICE and NACES members and TESU for example will accept "several' members from either, but not all.

Hope U of People get RA in the near future and remain low cost for the students.

Apparently WASC is going to “visit” this Fall 2022 at some point? I wonder what will come out of that, and if it goes well how long it’ll take go become RA?

Rumor is that WASC will report on this Fall visit in Feb 2023?

The Chief Haruspex * has examined the bird entrails and pronounced everything auspicious. :)
I have no doubt that U. of the People will be successful.

    * "Appropriately, "haruspex" can be roughly defined as "one who looks at guts." The ancient Romans had a number of ways of determining whether the gods approved of a particular course of action. Such divination was called "augury," and a haruspex was a type of "augur," an official diviner of ancient Rome." (Google.)

I think I learned that word in second-year Latin. 1956-57. This is the first time I ever got to use it. :)

Any idea how many of these reviews of school has to go through before they become accredited, typically? Anyone know how many times UoPeople has been visited thus far for the accreditation review process?

I don't think there is a typical number. Each situation is quite different.

But there are a couple of types of reviews. The self-review can take many iterations before a site visit is generated. The results of the site visit could generate more self-reviews and even more site visits. Or the school could be rejected. This is rare for schools that have reached candidacy stage.

Good for her! When I took transfer classes there I came across numerous doctors (including one from the Philippines), other post-grad level professionals, and ivy league graduates including people from Harvard. The university gets a very interesting mix of people which is certainly one of it's strong points. I am still waiting for them to get regional accreditation, and I suspect their enrollment numbers will shoot up when they do.

I still want to know if they allow students to “audit”.

Why take the MBA from Univ of the People though? All the other institutions she's attended are pretty well regarded or recognized..

"Teresa holds a bachelor of science from the University of Toronto, a bachelor of education from the Ontario Institute for Studies in Education, University of Toronto, a doctor of medicine from the Schulich School of Medicine & Dentistry, Western University and a Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada Emergency Medicine Residency, McMaster University. She also holds a master of health professionals education from the University of Illinois at Chicago and is currently pursuing a master of business administration from the University of the People in California."
