This one is interesting and maybe controversial.
    Unlicensed Dr in Integrative Health?

    American College of Healthcare Sciences
Doctorate, the Doctor of Science in Integrative Health.

"Integrative Health incorporates modern science with holistic health modalities and wellness principles. When used in a clinical setting, it provides a practical, individualized wellness support strategy for optimal health and whole-body health."

Huntington University of Health Sciences has been offering a similar degree for quite a while called the Doctor of Science in Integrative Healthcare. It started off as a Doctor of Health Science in Integrative Healthcare but was changed at or around the time the school changed its name from Huntington College of Health Sciences to Huntington University of Health Sciences.

That type of degree is something only a current practitioner in some health field should consider in order to be attractive to roles where integrative health knowledge is asked for, because it's not going to be a career starter on its own.

For sure it's not! At least, I would hope not. Thinking of the potential here is .... disturbing.
Isn't "unlicensed Doctor" a synonym for .... "Quack?" Or even "Felon," possibly?

It depends on what one does with the degree. Most people who get these degrees don't turn around and set up practices and attempt to pass themselves off as some sort of licensed Doctors. The few who do usually get caught eventually and are exposed publicly like they deserve to be.

Yes it does. And that depends on WHO gets into the degree program. They should be very, very careful. Maybe it's not in the same league with the "unlicensed MD" available from the Dominica-registered, unaccredited school referred to below, but - still too much room for misuse, as I see it.

@LearningAddict - In the thread cited, you wrote that Blue Marble had changed the MD program to "Doctor of Science in Medical Arts." However, it's still listed as Doctor of Medicine (MD) on their site - here. https://bluemarbleuniversity.com/list-of-doctoral-degrees-offered/

In that post I mentioned: "Blue Marble offered a non-practice MD for years then switched to the Doctor of Science in Medical Arts degree. Their sites (there is more than one) are somewhat confusing as to whether or not they've stayed with one or the other, but the owner is a lawyer and I imagine the changes may have been influenced by legal wranglings.

I'm still not sure if they've stayed with one or the other, but I guess they're just offering both now. At one time they said they'd retired the MD, but as I mentioned they have more than one site. On this site they offer the Doctor of Science in Medical Arts:

Personally I feel (considering the conflicting messages, multiple sites, and the way the sites are built) the person running that operation may not be all together upstairs.

I've been getting off topic here - I should return to my original point: that is, ACHS, that Lerner mentioned is a DEAC school. That's what we were discussing. And I hope DEAC people never wind up with egg on their faces for accrediting stuff that goes .... not well. And as for unaccredited medical schools, there are Americans who have earned degrees from such schools, harmed people and served jail time that harm, practising without a license etc. I can think of one or two who have been mentioned in DI threads.

That's all I have to say.

    Maybe it's a Rogue AI.

    Nope - definitely not. Here's the Director's CV https://bluemarbleuniversity.files.wordpress.com/2019/09/walterpdrakecv2020.pdf

He's referred to as the Founder on the Blue Marble site.

Or maybe just a rogue, lol. But let me be careful and restate "maybe"... I'm not trying to get myself sued.

He lists a Ph.D.and a JD, so I guess I should take back my Rogue AI joke. OK - done.

The PhD is from Panama College of Cell Science, a program I believe he owns just like Blue Marble which he also lists an ND from. That type of thing never looks good.

True. My concern: Do you know where the JD is from? :)

Next University looks like they could be a good option for people looking for an inexpensive MBA with an interesting specialization. I suspect we will be seeing more people going into their programs.

I benefited from Nexford when it was only ASIC. Then went on to finish a top-up Bachelors from the UK before all this!

I'm glad to see the UK system is still working. UK-NARIC - I think it's ENIC now - can refuse to evaluate a degree - as they would in this case. They only evaluate / recognize RA degrees, if they're from the US.

That does NOT stop UK universities from admitting applicants with degrees ENIC doesn't like. They're free to admit any applicants they choose. If they figure you have a good chance of success, you're in. Congratulations to Killerwhale for making the cut - and successfully earning his UK degree. I'm thinking that by no means, could all, or nearly all, applicants from unaccredited (or even NA) schools achieve UK admittance this way.

@Killerwhale Major success! Props, kudos and congrats. I wish you well in things to come. "Your future's so bright, you gotta wear shades." :)

There are plenty of unlicensed alternative health practitioners operating in the gaping holes of current regulations. If Naprapaths and Naturopaths can operate in jurisdictions that don't license them then I'm sure someone with one of these doctorates can carve out a practice of some sort also.

Hell, look at Herbalists. No licenses in NY. You would think the licensed acupuncturists would keep that profession at bay. Yet, there they are, seeing patients and everything.

Yep, and they do. Depending on where a person lives in the country, some of these things are more or less regulated. When you mention "operating in the gaping holes of current regulations" that speaks to the point I touched on. I see a marked difference between operating in a way that isn't against the law, versus deliberately breaking the law by pretending to be a licensed Doctor of Medicine or some other licensed Doctor which is what I was getting at. People do that too, and eventually they go down in flames and I'm always standing by ready to enjoy it.
