It was a joke about someone named “Matt” that negatively reviewed your book. I thought you would automatically connect it to the Amazon link since I only quoted that part. There may be other negative reviews on there but that review stood out for the intensity.

I don’t know if this one is nearly as well-known. His only attributable work so far is a fierce review.

My goodness Matt calls Michael B. a Pharisee and an Anti Christ that St. Paul warned about. Wonder if he wanted a refund?

That is why I mistakenly thought that Michael B. would get my joke immediately. If someone made a review like that for my work it would be burned into my memory.

I used “Matt” in quotations because I am not sure they would use their real name for that heat.

I was hoping you might leverage your moderation skills to curb the snark coming from a particular individual.

Given that Matt likely didn't buy the book (not a verified purchase) and that he didn't actually address any of the contents of the book in his rather acerbic review, I don't think I'll burn it into my memory.

Sorry - It's WAY more super-expensive than that! Over 3 times as much! This page shows the total cost of a Bachelor's in Psychology:
    https://jakesdivinity.org/academics/bachelor-degrees/bachelor-of-arts-in-psychology/

    General Ed - 43 Units @ $545 ea. $23,435
    Electives - 30 Units @ $415 ea. $12,450
    Psych. Major - 51 Units @ $545 ea. $27,795

That's a total of $63,680. Add $400 per semester for Technology Fee. For a BA. Yeee - ow!

Feel free to report it properly. I'm not the only moderator, and I'm not a dog to come when called. We'll take action when something seems to violate the terms of service, otherwise we won't.

Moreover, one can also try asking that person civilly to stop if one dislikes the way they interact. We're all supposedly adults, so ideally one need not always "go tell teacher" as a first resort when someone says something one dislikes.

You are in Canada and I will say I over time I have seen Canadians and especially Europeans express shock at the cost of education in the US.

To be clear, my post wasn’t a slight to your work. I was impressed by you linking to a work, even for a subject that has minimal interest to me, to demonstrate your experience related to the subject. Initially when I clicked I thought it was a website generated advertisement when it took me to Amazon. I was just amused with the vitriol presented by “Matt” which, as someone that reads a lot of Amazon reviews, I have rarely seen hit that level. As you point out, it probably was irrelevant from someone we aren’t even sure read the book. In some ways it makes the review even more interesting that someone felt so strongly about the subject to leave such a review for a product they aren’t familiar with.

All true. But I've been a DI member for 15+ years and I'm well-acquainted with the cost of American education - and all the avenues people (wisely) use to reduce that cost. This is still on the high side, 410-545 a credit for Undergrad. TD Jakes is a very expensive brand. Cost is tougher than Tommy Hilfiger, Louis Vuitton etc. As I see it - you can get the same or better - for way less.

Rachel knows US and its system very well. And she thought the cost was high at "over $20K." It definitely is. A lot of Americans would be unable to pay for it - and the realistic ones would be unwilling to mortgage their lives on your predatory, avaricious Student Loan system. It's doubly disturbing to see people having to endure a loan system of such iniquity and wickedness, to attain a spiritual education. It's literally, wrong as Hell.

I know what I'm talking about - and I'll just let my remark stand. Thank you. :(

I praise the Lord for you and your book! I've learned a lot from Edward Dalcour's book on the subject and used many of his arguments over the years to reason with Oneness Pentecostals from the Scriptures. I look forward to buying your book soon and learning from your teaching. I pray the light of the Gospel of the glory of Christ shines into the darkness of “hostile” hearts of stone and transforms them into hearts of flesh; and God, by His grace, grants repentance and saving faith in Christ Jesus! May the Lord bless you, your family and friends, and your ministry! Soli Deo Gloria!

Yikes! I hadn't even noticed that! I'd choose Liberty or Kairos over this. Either would be cheaper.

I'm curious why your books are all in physical format only? They look interesting, but I'm trying to cut down on the number of physical books I purchase. At least they seem to be POD, so it's not a ridiculous expense to purchase one from outside of the US.

Considering no one has disrespected him in this thread, it's hard to know what the problem is.
