Interesting, but it may not be a good comparison. These schools have drastically different admissions requirements. Higher admissions requirements will discourage many from applying, which could result in higher acceptance rates. Jack Welch Management Institute will waive the GRE/GMAT and GPA requirements with five years of professional experience. They also don't require letters of recommendation. So, they can create whatever acceptance rate they want by limiting the number of seats in each cohort. They have 2,000 students enrolled in the program, though, with classes sizes limited to 15 to 22 students. How many cohorts do they have each year?

And what I consider the better price to name ratios aren’t even on the list. And given how much praise P&Q has given to Illinois and Boston University, that’s surprising.

Acceptance rates are pretty high throughout the entire list, with the least being just 25%, so 1 in 4 technically get into that program. It goes up to 75%, or 3 in 4 will get accepted. This comes to show it's not really as competitive as I originally thought... However, this is just a small sample list of 50 programs, there are many out there.

I think it is important to remember that some of the "top" schools such as Michigan Ross, Carnegie Mellon Tepper, USC Marshall, etc. have some self-selecting due to cost. While Ross has 75% acceptance rate, they also cost $125,000 and odds are most applicants make in $100,000+ per year and have good career paths.

The article regarding to acceptance rate surprise me. I make $160K, but I can't afford Ross' MBA. :D

JWMI has four terms each year. I have noticed that there are 4-5 instructors for the introductory courses that everyone has to start with. (Leadership, Communications, Marketing). I also noticed in my first course, Leadership, there were 4-5 people who did not last beyond the first few weeks. Their discussion posts were off-topic and one was incoherent. I don’t know the details on why they left, so I can’t say for sure they were withdrawn for their performance, but it’s possible.
