    Remember the old University of Wales system of validating other institutions and awarding degrees on their behalf?

    Woolf University is essentially that as a service: a collegiate university (in the sense of the Oxbridge model) that accepts applications for becoming one of their colleges. They're an accredited university in Malta, so they have the European system going for them, and when asked about international recognition later in the episode Broggi says that a number of NACES members have evaluated their degrees as equivalent to RA US ones.

    Ouch, that's 43 minutes long! Just to find the answer to the NACES member! You left out that part of the video! There are many out there that indicate they're authorized by US accreditation agencies but most of those agencies are fake, I've not seen a few that mentioned they were NACES. I wonder... This also reminds me of institutions that use California University FCE, because that FCE essentially does the same thing I think, I don't recall...

    Interesting find, Steve! Woolf has programs in Computer Science, Business, Maths, and even Mediterranean Studies. With their model, it makes total sense that they have such a range of programs, and it was exciting to see that even have a few courses in Spanish.

    Unsurprisingly, given the number of partners, the fees seem to vary wildly. For example, a 2-month Award in Mathematical Thinking is 225 USD, and the BSc in Computer Science is 25,000 USD. Yet, the MA in Philosophy is 8,000 USD while the MBA is 50,000 USD.

    Meanwhile, the tech programs from Scaler Neovarsity charged fees in Indian rupees. Other programs simply didn't list prices at all, such as the MA in Mediterranean and European Studies or the PGCert in Doing Business Abroad.

    There are plenty of Universities doing the exaxt same thing like woolf.

    Just one example Middlesex University and this thing:

    There are dozens of other similar setups....if you compare this woolf thing with the UofW then you have to compare many others too.

    Except this outfit is essentially a tech startup, and offers this in a SaaS model. I like it, especially the fact that the tech team seems to be people from Ukraine.

    Hey, we have more than 2 PhDs on this board. We could start a college and offer a degree in, say, International Higher Education. Or Strategic Talent Management with Dean Rich Douglas.

    Good idea :) I just wonder how marketable a MBA from Malta for 50.000 Dollars is. I guess not at all. But Maybe we can negotiate different tuition fees for our own Woolf approved University:))

    I did notice that Woolf is lacking in educational & pedagogical programs. Not a bad idea to start our very own DI University!

    As I mentioned above, the prices vary wildly! The aforementioned Indian programs in Computer Science come in just under 5000 USD, and the Philosophy program was around 8000 USD as I recall.

    Perhaps, pricing could go somewhere between the Maltese MBA and the Indian CS programs?
