Curious to know if you know of doctoral programs that meet these criteria:

    1. Professional doctorate, not a PhD
    2. Focus on Leadership (not business, management, or educational leadership)
    3. Not a DBA or EdD; a program centered on leadership, preferably strategic leadership
    4. Domestic or foreign, but must be recognized as a university in its own right (no UCN-style or proprio deals)
    5. Short- or Non-Residency
    6. Taught in English

I know of Anderson University and Liberty University. Others?

    Thanks!

The University of South Africa offers a Doctor of Business Leadership (DBL). So does The Da Vinci Institute for Technology Management, a registered private higher education institution in South Africa.

From Rich's post : "Focus on Leadership (not business, management, or educational leadership)." (Emphasis mine - J.)

I'd like to exclude Christian schools that incorporate their religion into y0ur studies.

Shenandoah University has a low-residency Doctor of Professional Studies (DProf) in Organizational Leadership. United Methodist Church-affiliated school, but this program appears secular in nature. From the Division of Education and Leadership, but this program isn't specific to education. "Most of our students come from human services and public sector organizations, higher education, public safety/security, and nontraditional developmental programs and organizations."

The cost is not awful by North American standards: 60 credits @ $455/credit = $27,300

Since the criteria outside of Ph.D., EdD, DBA; and Management, Business, and Education has limited choices.

This is a fair point. But with the possible exception of management, each of those is an academic discipline unto itself. Studying leadership like that is putting it into a context. You end up studying that discipline--business, education, health care, etc.--instead of leadership itself.

Hood College has a hybrid Doctor of Organizational Leadership (DOL). Students "Start and progress together with Doctorate in Business Administration candidates through 27 credits of core courses and 9 credits of research courses, as well as three capstone courses. Differentiate their DOL degree pursuit through three electives aligned with their specialization in education, business or government." $995 x 60 + fees.

Bakke Graduate University has a Doctor of Transformational Leadership (DTL), but it's non-RA TRACS and prominently integrates a religious worldview.

A DProf based on studies in leadership might be available from the UK.

At the risk of "hijacking" the thread, any online BS to Doctoral programs? It appears many require a master's degree. Thanks.

You'll have to read the fine print. Some talk about earning a certain amount of credits that would include those one would earn in a master's. Some just say they require a master's.

Perhaps if you (a) started a thread on this and (b) made it clear what kind of doctorate you seek (or, at least, for what purpose), others could use those specifics to be more helpful.

In my search, there appear to be so few online US accredited bachelors to doctoral degree pathways, I’m delighted to see any that aren’t healthcare related.

You are a gentleman and a scholar. Good luck!

I've mostly seen BSN to DNP. However, I recently saw an Ed.D. at MTSU that doesn't require a master's degree.

The only other school I can think of is Keiser University. Their Ph.D. in Criminology & Criminal Justice has two entry pathways, bachelor's or master's.

I believe USC has an online EdD that doesn't require a master's degree, but most bachelor to doctoral programs will be PhDs. There are many others I can't think of right now, but I'll post when I have time to look at my bookmarks.
