If one has a career in those fields, perhaps.

I had an AFROTC student who was the top cadet in the country. She carried a perfect 4.0 an aerospace engineering, had earned a full scholarship, and was already slotted to go to pilot training. One day in the Fall semester of her senior year, she asked me to lunch, where she told me that not only did she not want to go to pilot training, she didn't even want to go into aerospace engineering upon graduation. She wanted to work in the liberal arts, particularly in literature in some way. Well, we were too far down the path to change her major, but I got her out of having to go to pilot training and got her a non-engineering assignment (acquisitions, a compromise). She finished her AE degree with that perfect 4.0, and then managed acquisition projects.

They say if you do a job you love, you never work a day in your life.

I'm a big believer in chasing your dreams so she made the best choice if that is what she felt was the right thing to do.

There's time in life to find the balance between things you are good at, what you get paid well for, and what you love to do.

Do we have a PLATITUDES section in this forum? These 3 lines in one recipe should carry a warning label - concentrated sugar syrup. Treacly and trite - like the get-well card I think I'm gonna need.
