New Indiana law creates adjunct teaching permits for K-12 schools https://fox59.com/indiana-news/new-indiana-law-creates-adjunct-teaching-permits-for-k-12-schools/
It is an interesting concept. I don’t know how well it will work. I have worked with teachers who have no classroom management skills. It can be disruptive to an entire building when a classroom is out of control. When the Administrative Assistant (aka - ME) has to go upstairs to tell a 6th grade class to get in their seats, stop talking, and listen to their teacher during state testing, that’s a problem. Teachers are asked to put up with a lot. Not all of them are paid well (depending on where they teach).
I have the same thoughts, K-12 students are immature and the majority are there because their parents and authorities make them be at school. In college/university settings, the students are there to learn because they want to.
