Looks like some HAU changes coming bfor fall term, details not shared yet but for Fall registration, MBA Nashua students are being asked to "Please choose either MBA-General or MBA-Management Information Systems."

I will graduate in June so won't affect me.

Worth following, if the offer the MIS MBA at same as they have been the MBA, I can see that having some appeal

That could definitely have some appeal…. Especially at a $3,000 price point!

Not sure if the price will stand much longer. Also I have taken an Information Systems class already as an elective (Data Mining and Data Warehousing) awesome class

Was that at HAU out of curiosity or elsewhere?

it was at HAU, took it as an elective because it was a 7-week class so took two classes. It was both out of curiosity and because it was the only class being offered as a 7 week course.

MIS has already been a concentration option for their MBA for a long time now. To add some speculation to the mix, maybe this means a degree name change (from "MBA w/a concentration in MIS" to "MBA in MIS"), which doesn't seem like much of a change at all unless they're adjusting the curriculum. On the other hand, I get the impression that the other concentrations aren't very popular, so maybe they didn't bother adding the others to the list. Again, just speculation!

I heavily considered getting the concentration in Operational Excellence, but I eventually opted to stick with the general MBA because I'm highly likely to pursue another degree after this one and I'm better off not getting loaded down with extra classes. It's possible that I will regret that decision later, but when have I ever NOT regretted my decisions? :emoji_head_bandage:

I get a little lost on their website. Do you know where they list the concentrations? I know I saw it a while back, but I am having trouble finding it again

    Bu
Those were certificates, not exactly the same.

That was confusing me too. I wasn’t sure if they were treated the same or not.

They can be taken either as concentrations for the MBA or as stand-alone graduate certificates.

congratulations on nearing the end of the program! I just went to their website and I noticed that they removed an end date to the $3,000 deal. It just says “limited time” now.

It also mentions the requirement for an undergraduate degree from an accredited school. Does the Associate of Science count? I realize typically it refers to a Bachelor's degree but it is not specific.

When they say undergraduate degree they are always referring to a minimum of a bachelor's.

This is another one of those situations where it doesn't hurt to ask. You're likely right, but if someone has an AS/AA and they want to go straight to an MBA, they lose nothing by asking.

Indiana Wesleyan University specifically promotes an associate's to MBA program (online, here).

$10776 for the undergrad credits, $20124 for the graduate credits. Plus, you must have at least 30 credits from the associate-granting institution. Not exactly the cheapest option, but I guess it's not bad if you already have an Associate that meets these requirements.

The Canadian Institute of Management also offers an MBA that doesn't require a Bachelor's to get in. It's delivered by the University of London (England).

Well, all journeys come to an end. Send in last revision to my capstone thesis today (Safe Harbour in the Gig Economy), last normal assignment yesterday and all my work is complete for the MBA.

I really enjoyed the school, coursework, profs, my classmates (You know who you are) and grateful to the forum for finding out about the program, and HAU for the incredible price.
