I've applied to Quantic School of Business and Technology after being accepted back in Sept. of 2020 for the Executive Business of Administration program. I was awarded a scholarship for about 1500 but with a tuition left over that was $7000 plus, I felt that it wasn't enough at the time and did not attend. I've been invited for an interview for the second time to take place on Monday Sept. 21. Since my last application, I have completed my thesis for my PhD in Education from Azteca/UCN and have changed careers from higher education to healthcare IT with a recent certification as an Epic Ambulatory Analyst and Core Analyst Badge.

I will let you all know what the outcome of this will be. Quantic has a list of scholarships on their site now but they did not have this a couple of years back. Hopefully my progress since my last application will be enough of an influence to grant me a full or close to a full scholarship.

Thanks! If it wasn't for this board I wouldn't be attending Quantic or Eastern.

I got accepted to Quantic again with the exact same scholarship amount of $1800 I received when I was accepted back in Sept. 2020. Still won't attend as $7800 for me is too much with an already earned Masters degree.

Inspired by @Dustin , I am now halfway through my EMBA @ Quantic
Going to graduate by December 2022 - 8 months to go.

    EMBA Curriculum - 9 Concentrations - 64% Complete
    • Business Foundations 100%
    • Accounting 100%
    • Markets & Economies 100%
    • Data & Decisions 100%
    • Operations Management 100%
    • Leading Organisations 97%
    • Marketing & Pricing 9%
    • Strategy 0%
    • Finance 26%
    Specializations 3 or more required
    • Startup Entrepreneurship 100% (I enjoyed this, learned about all how stuff works with start ups, VCs, fundings etc.)
    • Strategic Leadership 0%
    • Strategic Thinking 36%
I think I will do more than the required 3 specializations as the topics interests me, there are currently 11 available for the EMBA program, previously there were only 7.

    My thoughts so far:
    • I did fall behind by a week, and I set aside time during the weekends and studied to cover 3 weeks worth of material ahead. The flexibility really allows me to be able to live my life, or slack a little. It is not as rigid as face to face classes. So take it as both a pro & con.
    • Networking really depends on YOU. There are really active people organising things and participating in the Zoom sessions, which admittedly I do not participate that much. But I network with 2 very active course mates, so they become my directory to the rest of the cohort. For people who say online courses such as this diminishes the networking factor, I will say you are wrong. If anything, you are exposed to even more people due to the size of the intakes.
    • I enjoy the material, it is very well written, punny and memorable. The content interacts with you instead of a lecturer teaching you -- not a one way street. Think of it as you have a lecturer teaching you the material 1:1 and asking you for feedback as he goes. So when he explains things he will get you to fill in the blanks. Back when I did my bachelor's degree it was me and 20 other people in the hall listening to the lecturer present the materials and then we raise hands to ask questions -- not sure if that has changed now. I personally consider that dry and I tend to lack the attention span.
    • Looking back, if I had enrolled for a "traditional" MBA program, be it on campus or online, the fixed schedule would make my life less flexible. Now I can travel, take up activities as and when I like, instead of saying "oh I can't do it, got class that day", and this is Quantic's #1 value proposition. Education on demand.
So far, I love it. I am really learning.

@Dustin That's a very nice frame for the degree, where did you get it? Can you private message me the link?

Hi @TTS, the frame is from Church Hill Classics: https://www.diplomaframe.com/qnti

I keep telling myself I should have spent the extra for the red Presidential frame, but maybe I'll save something like that for my Eastern degree.

Quantic is launching new Executive Education programs. They will be soft-launched next week, with scholarships for alumni to encourage uptake. I wonder if this is the outcome of all that hiring they did a while back for Professors with Data Science, Computer Science, etc., backgrounds.

Also I note the price for the MBA/EMBA has risen a bit. In March 2021, the cost was $9,900 and the MBA was a year long. Now it is $950 for 14 months, which lands at $13,300. They've changed the wording around scholarships to clarify that they "award full scholarships on the basis of merit and need to a small number of students each cohort." (Emphasis mine.)

The graduation rate for Quantic's program is much lower than I expected, 66% in 2019 for the MBA, a higher 71% for the EMBA: https://uploads.smart.ly/accreditation/consumer-disclosures/DEAC_Student_Achievement_Disclosure_06.03.2023.pdf

Meanwhile, Quantic's Valar Institute which also offers an MBA/EMBA is sitting at slightly cheaper than the original price, $800 x 12 months = $9,600. https://valar.quantic.edu/tuition/

I just got an email from them today. I applied to them twice. Once in 2020 and the again a year and a half later in 2021 with hopes of getting a higher scholarship as the first one was only about $2000. They gave me the same amount on the second go around and suggested I get my employer at the time to cover the rest. I never tried again to enroll after that but they still are offering scholarships. However, they let me know full scholarships will not be offered.

What was the % discount they provided this time around? The most I see people get at other institutions range from 25, 50, 75, even up to the 100%, depending on the institution...

They told me to wait for the announcement of the new programs in the next few weeks and then re-apply. No discount offers or scholarships yet but they will probably offer me something then not being 100%.

Quantic's 4 new executive education programs have launched. Each are $7,600 and 8 months long.
    • CTO Program
    • Founder's Program
    • Executive Program
    • CMO Program
They seem to be designed for mid-to-senior professionals, e.g. people one or two levels below CTO/CMO looking to make the jump. Not my thing but pretty neat.

Just received an email from them about 15 minutes ago and reading through it now. An invitation for a scholarship will be sent to me on October 12th. It looks interesting but I likely won't enroll.

Same here. But they rejected my MBA application in 2020, so:

    *hmph*

    *still being in a snit*

Go on. Keep sending mails to me. See if I care...

Holy Cow! There are so many C-Suite titles today! The CBO (Chief Building Officer?) will have to design a new wing. Exposition of C-Suite Titles here. https://www.business.com/articles/c-suite-job-titles/

Hey! @Rich Douglas - They left out Chief Learning Officer! What gives? It's like Pokemon - "Gotta catch 'em all." :)

Brilliant move, Grand Business Architects! You flattened middle management out of existence and then stuffed the C-Suite to the rafters - at double-triple-quadruple the salaries per! Yeah - I'm laughing. And smh too.

I logged in to check out the scholarship offer and was presented with several other certificate programs:
    • Data Science Foundations
    • Transform Your Business with AI & ChatGPT
    • Transform Your Business with Blockchain
    • Prototype Your Digital Business with ChatGPT
    • Learn to Code Using ChatGPT
They offered me a $4,000 scholarship towards the $7600 base for the Founder's program and $2,000 towards the $3800 Data Science Foundations (and the others on the list there.) Significant but not enough for me to put down any cash.

Edit: Also some of the programs are shorter, I got $1,000 towards the $1,900 "Learn to Code Using ChatGPT."

All of my scholarships ranged from $500 to $1500 for each program. Still not advantageous enough to pay and enroll.
