Passed the Finance Case Study, 3/5, the last hurdle. WOO. Now I can order my diploma frame without feeling presumptuous.

Got my Strategy Case Study feedback: 3/5. In the other projects, a 2/5 is considered passing but in Strategy you need a 3/5.

Also interesting that in future cohorts (those who started in September of this year and are expected to graduate Oct 2022), they will be required to complete 9 concentration exams similar to the midterm and final, which is more like the EMBA. Also there's a reference to some students needing to complete 3 oral exams in addition to the other requirements to graduate. https://support.quantic.edu/article/515-how-are-mba-grades-calculated-class-of-september-2022-and-beyond

    • Leading Organizations Individual Case Study (4/5)
    • Marketing Group Project and Presentation (4/5)
    • Corporate Finance Group Case Study (3/5)
    • Strategy Individual Case Study Presentation (3/5)
    Exams:

Today is graduation day. We had a Zoom celebration with our cohort. It was about 40 minutes of congratulatory messages, videos, questions, and a reading of all our names (while "Pomp and Circumstance" played in the background), followed by a 20 minute breakout session where we got to talk to some of our cohort members about our future plans. As graduations go it was more fun than average.

My Quantic app/dashboard doesn't officially record that I've graduated yet, which apparently happens late on graduation day. I took a screenshot of my name on screen (I censored the other names in black.)

My Quantic dashboard has now updated to reflect that I've graduated. I'll get my Parchment digital diploma in a "couple of days."

Edit: Shoot I had a thank you post drafted and then forgot to post it. Thank you all for your encouragement. I couldn't have done this without you! And I hope this thread is useful to future students. They are still giving out 100% scholarships so I encourage people (especially in tech) to apply.

I got my digital diploma, looks pretty fancy: https://www.parchment.com/u/award/fc1af9faf1259f82364dc629b35aedc4

I also got an unofficial transcript. The degree is 36 credits, my average was 92%, or roughly a 3.7 GPA (they don't calculate GPA but only report percentages.) They use the National Student Clearinghouse for official transcripts.

Congrats, Dustin! Saw your degree diploma on LinkedIn, well done! Next, is the University of the Cumberlands' Ph.D. in Business Administration?

I'm targeting Old Dominion University's PhD in Public Policy but I'm also on the fence about Cumberland's PhD in IT or Florida Atlantic University's PhD in CS. I know that no matter what discipline I started with, I want to research and improve our understanding of state decision-making related to economic development using data science, but whether I start by extending my data science knowledge and applying it to policy later or start by extending my policy knowledge and apply it with data science later I'm not sure.

I would find interesting seeming faculty members in all three of those departments and reach out to tell them your goal and ask whether they think that program would get you there.

Although I'd also say that FAU's program is probably the most useful in other areas should your goals change.

Good idea! I have a shortlist of ODU professors whose research I'm following and who I'd be interested in working with. I should also do the same with UC and FAU and make sure I talk to professors at each before settling on a program.

My Quantic diploma arrived in the mail! Unfortunately I'm 1900 miles away from it on a business trip. But when I return on Friday I'll post a picture in the nice diploma frame.

For now, the same thing I was doing last month with 0! But I appreciate the flexibility it gives me.
