These are allegations, not proven that it was side effect of the vaccine but appears so.

Some people are allergic to avocados. Should we ban people from having avocado toast? There are people who literally cannot be exposed to significant amounts of water externally or they could die (water allergy is a real and probably frustrating thing). People can have deadly reactions to things without the thing itself having any inherent dangers.

And even then, the things you're describing are actual reactions to the thing in question, something that physicians don't believe is so in this case.

Two totally different things (avocados and pharmaceutical drugs, and banning and asking for answers), but in either situation reactions should be taken seriously and examined. However, depending on where you live and how the health authorities of that country are reporting, the significance of a statistic regarding it may be viewed differently and influence actions differently (some taking serious action, others taking no action at all).

I have a family member that just got his second shot, healthy other than bad eyesight but wears glasses. He did have covid and it almost killed him, but he did fully recover and was back to 100%. He experienced normal side effects after his first shot, achy arm, nothing to worry about, went away in a few days. But immediately after his second shot his health totally broke down and hasn't gotten better. He can't sleep, has breathing issues, high blood pressure, dizziness, night sweats every night, limping, and severe inflammation in one elbow and both feet. In fact his elbow is very swollen and painful to the touch, so painful he can't even bend his arm. He also continues to notice a metallic taste. He's gone to his Doctor but she says she can't figure out why it's happening and the vaccine is not being examined/considered as a reason.

Correlation does not imply causation, but medical science is far from perfect. There is still a lot to learn about these particular vaccines given their newness to being administered to the general population and the resulting data that is still short-term and still in very early progress.

A mere rumor started by a conspiracy between the NCA and the DCLI.

Millions and millions and millions of people have taken these vaccines safely.

True statement but the other side of the data shows that there have been over 10,000 deaths reported to be related to the vaccine (CDC, 2021). The Vaccine Adverse Event Reaction Report System (VAERS) also shows other severe reactions related to the COVID Vaccine. The fact is, there are risks associated with ALL vaccinations, not just the COVID vaccine so it is important to speak with your healthcare provider if you have concerns about the risks and benefits! The anecdotal clip above could very well be true but she was one of the unlucky ones that had an adverse event and thankfully appears to be recovering. To not consider that an adverse event may happen is foolishness.
"Serious adverse events after COVID-19 vaccination are rare but may occur."

I have a relative in mid 60s who experienced some what similar side effects after the send Vac he also had arrhythmia. It took 2 to 3 months but the symptoms/side effects eventually all gone.
He was regularly under medical supervision.

I'm really sorry to hear that, LA. I hope things clear up for him. Drawing the short straw is a son of a bitch. Really sucks for someone who already had a severe case of covid.

Even taking that on face value (and VAERS by law has to include any death after a vaccine, including people who get the vaccine and then get flattened by a bus outside the clinic), 10,000 deaths out of 473 million doses means that one in 1 in 47,300 people have died after receiving the COVID vaccine. Compare that to 792,000 COVID deaths (1 in every 415 people based on the US population of 329 million) and the vaccine is already orders of magnitude safer on that basis alone.

Congratulations! You have cracked the code on the CDC’s justifications for vaccinations. In other words, there are acceptable losses associated with vaccination initiatives. That’s all fine and dandy until your loved one dies from an adverse event associated with a vaccination. Let us not forget that although the Covid vaccination has shown to be effective in reducing mortaility rates associated with Covid infection, there are still deaths of fully vaccinated patients that subsequently become infected with Covid. Bottom line, there are benefits and risks associated with vaccinations that need to be considered on an individual basis.

By this logic, we shouldn't allow any medical care at all, for anyone, because there's a potential for harm - even if that potential is statistically unlikely or impossible when compared with preventing the illness in the first place. How is that logical?

    What is the alternative?

This is NOT an individual issue. It is a societal one. You can't both be a member of society and opt out of the the conditions you do not favor.

I don't believe in vaccine mandates. But I DO believe in excluding people from participating in things where their lack of vaccination is a threat to the well-being of others. Want to opt out? Fine. But all the way out.

It is also an “individual issue” due to the fact that there are people with medical conditions that may have an adverse reaction to a vaccination.
My point is that one size does not fit all and people should speak to their medical provider and address their concerns.

It is logical to recognize that there are risks and benefits associated with anything in healthcare. It is logical to accept the fact that there are no guarantees! It is logical to recognize that the CDC has acceptable loss parameters. With that said, I never have posted that one should not get vaccinated, I have posted the need for people to consult with their medical provider if they have concerns. Where the hell is the lack of logic in that?

Whether you meant it that way or not, that's the exact phrasing that anti-vaxxers use to justify their hate for vaccines. "Do your own research" and pretend appeals to consult with your doctor, at least until the doctor says that the shot is perfectly safe. Then it's evil and you shouldn't listen to the doctor because someone on FB posted that their cousin's friend's mother's landlord's sister's son died after getting vaccinated. But it was totally the vaccine that killed them and not the bus that ran them over.

Yes, and it is incumbent on everyone without such conditions to pitch in for the common good.

Most people who have "concerns" end up shopping around to get a "healthcare provider" to validate those. Ultimately, it boils down to parents concerned with harm from, say, a MMR vaccine, and as a result happily let my children take it and provide them with collective immunity protections. Anti-vaxxers are free-loading ghouls. No wonder this movement migrated to Trump camp; it's the same underlying attraction of getting a license to be buttholes to yall's fellow men.

People who complain about the CDC or Dr Fauci changing their assessments or their advice are either working an agenda or simply do not understand how science works.

The study of Covid-19 is out on the edge. We won't have a settled understanding of this phenomenon for quite some time. In the meantime, it is prudent to stay up with current guidance and to follow it. Although not a guarantee, it is your best chance for getting through this.
