Are you in the October 2021 cohort? Do feedback if you get the scholarship or not.

I'm in the October 2021 cohort, so I will only know by August 18, 2021. Like Tamara, I will only attend if I get the scholarship. Fingers crossed.

    Full schedule here: https://support.quantic.edu/article/52-when-will-i-hear-if-i-ve-been-accepted

Now that I finished my database course at Eastern I got to work on the marketing project. So far it's about ~3600 words on how to turn around a struggling business or service through a comprehensive marketing strategy. I chose Skype. They provide a template with some guidelines and recommend that the final product be around 25 pages. In addition, I need to do a 15 minute presentation to demonstrate my marketing plan.

I plan to add more to the plan tomorrow and then film the video. Marketing is not really my forte, so I'll just be happy to pass this project and move on to the next one.

Finally finished the Marketing and Pricing concentration. On to Finance. Marketing was 73 lessons. Finance is a more manageable 45 lessons which I am zipping through because we're back to quantitative concepts that are easier to grasp.

    • Markets & Economies: 100%
    • Data & Decisions: 100%

    • Marketing and Pricing: 100%
    • Finance: 53%
    • Supply Chain & Operations: 0%
    • Strategy: 0%
    • Entrepreneurship: 0%
    Completed Projects:

    • Markets & Economies Individual Case Study (4/5)

Got accepted into Quantics EMBA program.

So if I choose the Global Section, I got to pay $5400 or get a scholarship of $5400 (I can't remember which was it) and for the Regional Section I have a full scholarship -- which explains why I didn't pay attention to the Global Section. The difference seems to be I only study and collaborate with regional classmates. In any case, not having to pay a single cent means infinite ROI for me (other than the expense of time). For me, NA vs RA isn't a big deal, as long as it is recognised by the DoE and it is a legit MBA.

Thanks to @Dustin for sharing all the useful information here. This board was a resource that resulted in my application to Quantic.

Hey is the book useful for revision or referencing? For example when doing assignments etc. Did you find it useful? I was offered the book with a discount as well, and wouldn't mind getting it if its useful (especially for assignments or any other work).
Cause this mobile learning is new to me, it is my first time doing a degree/pg program online.

Not useful for the assignments in my opinion, but extremely helpful for the midterm and final which make up 70% of your grade. Yes, you could have the PDFs saved and switch between them, but I found it so much faster to just flip through the pages of the book for each question.

Hi! First I’d like to say it was really helpful to read all of your posts! I am doing the MBA now and about to take the midterm. I am behind because of health issues, so working with an extension and very short time. To confirm, the textbook Course Summaries is the bound version identical to the PDFs? Do you have any other tips? I take the midterm tomorrow and am a bit nervous! I completed all of the projects with 5/5, so I have a *bit* of wiggle room, but clearly need to pass. Normally I wouldn’t worry so much, but I’ve had severe chronic issues and family stuff, so I’m doing an insane amount of work in a little bit of time. Anyway, thanks again for your posts and congratulations on your awesome progress!

Yes, the book is identical to the PDFs. The exam is open book. You normally have 48 hours to complete it once you start (I'm not sure if that applies to you or not), so if you are worried you can use your phone or another device to open the SmartCase for that lesson and practice it before you attempt the question(s) for each part. They recommend using a second device so that the browser doesn't get confused about whether you're in the midterm or not.

It took me 4 hours to do the 3 modules of the midterm (one on Accounting and two on Statistics), and that was a lot of reading in the book to refresh my memory. I did 2 hours in the morning and 2 hours in the afternoon.

    Good luck!

Finished my marketing plan and presentation and sent them off. I did not enjoy this assignment, but I think I would have liked it even less if I had to work in a group. Marketing is just not an interest of mine so I really had to. I'll be happy just to pass this one.

    Finance: 100% Complete
    Program Total: 75% Complete

Next up, Supply Chain and Operations.

Next module is Supply Chain and Operations.
    • Project Management (12 lessons)
    • Operations Management Fundamentals (13 lessons)
    • Operations Management: Managing Uncertainty of Demand (9 lessons)
    • Forecasting Fundamentals (6 lessons)
    • Supply Chain Management (5 lessons)
    Finance: 100% complete
Supply Chain and Operations: 18% complete
Program Total: 75% complete (no change from last week)

Project Management goes into project scheduling, risk management, network diagrams, and similar. I actually took an intro course in operations management that covered basic forecasting, supply chain management and similar so I expect that to be a lot of material I've seen before, though it's been years so I'll need to refresh myself.

I've had very little motivation (hitting the wall!) so I'm sticking to just one lesson a day. Since I'm ahead of schedule, I'll be able to go the next month at this pace (which is slower than expected) and not get behind. On Monday I'll get the details for the next project, Corporate Finance.

Corporate Finance Project actually comes out Monday Sep 13, not Monday Sep 6 like I thought. Been on auto-pilot for a while with Quantic. Hoping once this concentration ends that Strategy and Entrepreneurship will be more interesting. People seem to put a lot of work into their Strategy Capstone so I'm hoping it's not too overwhelming.

Just placed an order for the book. Currently the 4th edition and only in paperback for $150

4th? Wow. Mine was 2nd Ed. It included Blockchain in the electives. I wonder what prompts them to update it.

Commercial textbook publishers are notorious for publishing barely distinguishable editions to try to suppress the used textbook market.
