In a speech last week at the Ronald Reagan Library, former Secretary of State Mike Pompeo called the Chinese Communist Party an "absolute existential threat" to the United States, and urged a tougher stance by the US against China.
One could have also argued that Pompeo and the messages he emphasized, were "absolute existential threats" to the United States.... ....of course, you could just ask him, "Where's the whiskey bottle?"
Mike gets it, and has informed us of the problem. Time will show what current drivers will do about this.
I'm sure that in the end he'll just pay the $5800 to make the implications of him being a thief go away... small price to pay for the long list of ethical violations he had been recorded as being at fault with, by the Inspector General of the State Department. Still leaves him with the legacy of hypocrisy, lies, and ethical violations though.
Its hard to find squeaky clean politicians. Its diminishing from what they have to say. But on this subject I think he is right on. We will see how the leadership navigates these waters.
