I just signed up for their info session in July to learn more:

If the price is good, looks very interesting to me. I did my MBA almost a decade ago so I definitely fit the profile. Also, the fact that the program requires an MBA for entry means that students will be experienced professionals/executives and class discussions will probably be very lively.

This program definitely is meaningful. My bosses are still barely knowing how to use MS word and understanding what managerial skills they should acquire to be leaders, not they are passively thrown into the digital age with concepts of e-marketing, AI, cybersecurity, etc.

I chuckle when such people talking about business strategies before the public. We all never have seen a ghost, but we share such stories vividly.

The program seems to be covering a lot of modern business administration areas. I am wondering what is the cost if it is a real certificate....at least $10,000.00 or more for the program unless it does not issue by UCLA Anderson School of Management.

    Update:

I attended the info session on Tuesday. Very interesting program.

    1) It's comprised of 10 mini-courses (non-credit) which are all live Zoom classes. 5 required courses to be completed in the fall semester and 5 elective courses in the winter semester. So the program runs from Sep 2021 to Mar 2022.
    2) Each week, you take 2 classes of 2 hours each (so total of 4 hours class time each week). They're still sorting out the schedule (to be finalized end of July), but I hope it will be convenient (e.g. weekends).
    2) It's a cohort-based program where you have the same classmates through the first semester and most of the second semester. Opportunity to network.
    3) Cost is US$1,900 for the whole program. That's something they're proud of - it is a very good price for a UCLA education with networking opportunities through several months.
    4) They boast there are no other programs like it in the market.
    5) Grading is pass/fail and no exams (but there will be assignments, group work).
    6) While you can get a UCLA Bruin ID card to use UCLA facilities (library/etc) while studying in the program, you won't get UCLA alumni status upon graduation.
    7) They will be opening enrolment / applications around end of July for the first cohort.
    8) Will be tough to do if you live outside North America because of the time difference. The whole program is based on live interaction so watching recordings won't work.

Hope this helps. The program director's name is Mark. If you have any questions, you can email him at

I think there is a 50/50 chance I will enrol depending mostly on the schedule (to be finalized end of July). My guess is they increase the price once the first cohort becomes a success and the program becomes better known. That's a fantastic price I think for the topics covered and the quality of instruction.

Does it require an MBA/Business Degree for enrollment?

Yes, MBA required. Although I understand they might also consider other related masters degrees (case-to-case basis that you would need to discuss with them).

Have you moved ahead with the program or found more information? It's still coming across as a spectacular package, with how they have it setup.

I'm waiting for the course schedule to be finalized. Just to be sure it matches my work schedule - hopefully it won't be a problem that I'm in Eastern Time (Toronto). However, my company has agreed to pay and use company / work time to attend as they will consider this company training. My boss, who is also an MBA, agrees this is a fantastic deal and she wants to be involved in my selection of electives :)

I don't think the certificate will be issued by Anderson Business School, instead UCL Extension Certificate.

It is UCLA Extension, as mentioned in all my previous posts and links.

I have a couple of Certificates & Specializations from UCLA Extension over the years and many of the previous courses and seminars I taken included faculty from Anderson. Actually its a good thing this is thru UCLA Extension as the Anderson Certificates all have a starting cost of $8K and beyond. Also you need to earn an Academic Certificate from UCLA Extension to gain alumni status.

How much do these run? Looking at the certificates, a lot of them seem to run close to or above $8k anyway.

    It's $1,900 for the entire program (10 courses / 2 semesters).

Doesn't look like this program is happening for Fall quarter as I don't see any short courses being offered. Probably not enough interest.
