Well, some evaluators say they are. At least one (WES) says otherwise, although their known evaluation of the school's arrangement itself was not a bad one at all and is still likely the most fair.

This isn't our first tangle with this school, who have a habit of making legal threats at anyone who suggests their process - different than the other schools that offer VAE - is anything less than perfectly acceptable despite its lack of state recognition. If all they had to do was pay the fee, they would have paid the fee. It's more than that.

I find it interesting that the MBA is listed in RUCT for Universidad Isabel I while it is offered as a propio degree through ENEB. I would think if it is listed this way then it would be recognized as an official degree instead of propio for a credential evaluator which would make it equivalent to a Regionally Accredited MBA. It is quite possible that an evaluator will give it that result eventually.

Can you link to where you're seeing this in the RUCT database?

I think the difference may be acceptance into the program? Anyone may get a degree from ENEB (if you have a Bachelor's) but I'm sure that there are entrance requirements if you want the same degree directly and only from Isabel I.

Yes. Another thing to consider is that the MBA as a propio is suppose to be a one year program and the MBA official degree is two years. Now I understand why foreign credential evaluators avoid giving any pre-evaluations based on information given to them without requiring a client to pay and submit all of their documentation prior to completing the evaluation process. To get the equivalent evaluation of a Regionally Accredited MBA from Isabel I using the MBA as a propio, one would either have to complete two propio degrees with one of them being an MBA to get the equivalent of two years or one would have to already have an official degree in a business related field then top it off with the MBA from Isabel as a propio. The requirements for the propio and official are different but only slightly. If someone were to reference the RUCT database and show the equivalency of all coursework with roughly half coming from previous graduate level coursework, the Regionally Accredited MBA evaluation equivalent is possible with having atleast the MBA propio degree if the hours match. It would be a 60 hour MBA equivalent for us here!

There are a lot of management type degrees on ENEB but nothing equivalent to the MBA in Management that is official. An evaluator would really have to delve deep in the courses to find the equivalent justification of it being an official MBA equivalent. None of them would want to take the time to do it though unless a client does their own homework and research to justify it. Many evaluators will just grant the possibility of transfer credit and maybe evaluate it as a non-accredited masters or accredited graduate certificate with number of credit hours completed.

I love the RUCT database because it really breaks things down and keeps it all in one convenient place.

At the link you posted, it shows the program as 240 credits (ECTS standard not American standard) which would be equal to 4 years of study. That's a crazy long MBA. There has to be something I'm misreading there.

As for ENEB, they could do what some schools do and have a 120 ECTS Master's and that way evaluators like ECE wouldn't be able to use the highly questionable Bachelor's position.

Hey, how come you disappeared without responding to my post? You made this false assertion about me and walked off.

    I'm not impressed.

    1. Dr.Dr.Douglas: please accept my sincere apology. My question to you regarding any involvement between you and the University of South Africa was based on a completely erroneous memory.

    Apology accepted.

It's only one "Dr." despite multiple instances of the degree. The preferred number is "zero," with "Rich" being the preferred honorific.

Just so you know, moderators do not delete threads or posts or user accounts. They moderate.

    Again, thank you. Enough said.
