Got a response. I asked the question very similarly to your post and they said: "To avoid disappointments upon completion of the program, please send us all academic and professional accomplishments and your CV/Resumé, before enrolling, so that it can be reviewed and your eligibility can be confirmed - that way, your final credentials will be issued accordingly once you have completed the program."

Looks like if they don't catch it in the beginning they'll catch it at the end. I'm told that the diploma department requires verification of your credentials at the end before they can issue your diploma, so at best a student would be sitting in limbo indefinitely until they can prove they meet the requirements.

So one must have a Bachelor's degree prior to completing the ENEB Masters degrees. So much for being able to use ENEB Masters program credits for the first Bachelors. Atleast one could work on both Bachelors and Masters coursework at the same time.

One could still use it to gain credits for a second undergrad degree in business in order to gain admittance to an American Master's program that requires a business degree. There aren't a lot out there that specifically require a business degree but I've seen a couple.

For those that don't require a business degree, one sometimes must take bridge courses at the undergraduate or graduate level in order to adequately prepare to enter the graduate level core courses for business. Those bridge courses when at the graduate level could be used as electives. This use to be the case at my alma mater for the MBA but I have noticed that they don't do that anymore. Other programs have a similar stance when their undergraduate major doesn't match their intended graduate major. Many programs will allow other ways to overcome any deficiencies such as MOOC courses, certifications, or work experience.

They'll still consider your CV but only if you have enough experience to qualify. There are tiers to it, I'll search my inbox and post it if I find it.

Thank you for contacting ENEB Business School. To access our programs, you must fulfill at least one of these three requirements:

    • Be in possession of a Bachelor, Architecture, Higher or Technical Degree, Bachelor Diploma or another equivalent degree.
    • Students currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree or equivalent higher education.
    • Professionals that have enough experience in their field of study.

In the event that you fall into the third category, please send us your CV/resumé, including academic accomplishments and professional history, so that our Department of Admissions can assess whether you are eligible or not.

Oh wow ok..... So you can pursue their Masters while pursuing a Bachelors. If ECE knows this, they have a good reason to evaluate it as a Bachelors. In any case, the coursework still couldn't be used for the first Bachelors since the official transcript cannot be issued without completing their program, atleast I don't think it could.

Not... really? There are multiple American universities that have a Bachelor's-to-Master's program of some kind. You can do Master's work while still getting your Bachelor's degree but you can't get the Master's degree until you graduate with your Bachelor's.

Come to think of it, Excelsior has that kind of program. I know the Math department that I graduated from also has a similar option if your GPA is good during your senior year to take graduate courses which cuts their time for a Bachelors degree and Masters degree from six years to five years. It was implemented a few years after I finished my degree from that department. Social Work programs are popular for this type of arrangement as well.

There is a girl (Dorothy Jean Tillman) that was like 12 (?), never finished high school (or maybe she did along the way somehow), and graduated with a Bachelor's from Excelsior. She'd already earned an Associate degree from The College of Lake County when she was 10. In 2020 at 14, she earned a Master's from Unity College.

As the OP and one of the two Union alumni you reference, I have one point and one question.

    Point: 'Douglas' with one 's.'

    Question: So?

So - the irony entertains me.

Question for the OP, with only one "s:"

What ever became of your scheme of acting as a middleman for UNISA applicants?

I don't see any irony. I see a coincidence that isn't so coincidental, given the paucity of alternatives when Steve and I pursued our doctoral degrees.

I was never a part of anything involving UNISA, "scheme" or otherwise.

Regarding Universidad Isabel I de Castilla, the evaluations received were half done at best. The school is authorized to grant degrees. Please note, educational systems around the world are changing daily and it is the evaluators' responsibility to do their due diligence , not get comfortable, and update their research and practices. Please refer to the link below for all institutions in Spain authorized to grant degrees and the degrees ( titulo's ) they are authorized to grant.

In the past they would rely on having the King of Spain's "signature" as a way to authenticate degrees. That practice is fading with the development of new technology at the least.

I don't think their ability to grant degrees was ever in dispute (we've certainly learned a lot more about the difference between títulos oficial and títulos propios), but more whether the credentials they awarded were equivalent to regionally accredited US credentials.

Regarding Ecole Superieure Robert De Sorbon. Until 2009 credential evaluators had no issue with giving a favorable evaluations for this school which grants degree based on the VAE. The VAE is very common in France and has been for years. It wasn't until the French Government created a framework for all institutions to "pay money" to be on a list is when the president refused and then ended up going to court because he would not comply with the new rule. He still refuses to this day !
