New Online EdD from Youngstown State

    Out of state tuition is more, as one might expect, but weirdly it's only a few dollars more. This is a real find!

    Thanks Gabe F., I think the per credit hr rate is very reasonable.

    Thanks, Steve! For those interested, the out-of-state rate is only $300 more for the entire program so, as Steve said, it really is only a few dollars more per credit.

    I think Youngtown State University is late in the game...but low tuition might attract some rural educators.

    Make that rural, suburban, exurban. and urban educators. We're finally entering an era when people are considering total cost of ownership.

    I see a fair number of inexpensive EdD programs but not that many PhD programs. Is there something about the structure of a PhD that makes it more expensive to deliver via distance?

    No. For example, the EdD in Educational Leadership and PhD in Leadership programs at Cumberlands are nearly identical.
