Online low- cost MBA...

I just looked up Purdue Global... it was coming up at $36k USD... am I missing a savings link? It would be very attractive at $10k.

Walden didn't list their tuition so I've requested info.

CRA is picky about what constitutes learning institutions... so I'd prefer some kind of accreditation so that I can get the tax credit which will ultimately help pay for the schooling!

 

I don't have to go Canadian... I just need to make sure Accredited if the price is getting to the point where I would want the tax credit.

I can't do the quick term suggestion you had unless it was an EMBA. I'm working full time currently and a single parent so loading up with courses would not work. I think WGU has something similar but I think it would work out more expensive for me in the long run.

 

What you can do is check to make sure the school is part of a government approved list such as the link here:

If it's there, it has pretty legit accreditation. OSAP will not allow anything that the CRA won't allow.

 

Does your MBA need to be AACSB,Equis or AMBA accredited? Or would you be good with an MBA from an accredited school that has no specific program accreditation? That's a big one to consider to determine the money you want to spend.

 

It depends. If it is inexpensive <$5k... but has a good program and/ or good school name recognition... ultimately I don't care and can be out of pocket.

If it is >$10k then I would like to be able to use it as a tax credit so it saves some money.

I realize it is a tall order to find a good program that is online only, within budget and allows me to either pursue part- time or has an EMBA (or equivalent) stream. BUT... that's what I'm looking for. Oh yes, and ideally could be completed in less than 2 years. Ideally I would prefer a year but I'm not sure if all the EMBA programs will simply make it not feasible.

I would prefer something with experience acknowledgement because some of the programs I've looked at require LENGTHY foundations courses if you don't have a bachelors degree in business. That will add a lot of extra cost and time.

 

HAU fills the bill really, even more so if they will let you get US rate of $3k USD.

 

Just like you, my undergraduate degree was in law.
I then did the ENEB MBA and it was valued as a regionally accredited advanced bachelor of business administration.
That's how I managed to apply to US schools and even already received acceptance into one, without having to take lengthy foundation courses.
ENEB is a perfect building block to receive admission and some advanced standing in US schools.
Especially since WES evaluates it as a master's degree from an unaccredited school and ECE evaluates it as a regionally accredited bachelor's degree. So if you take the ENEB MBA (less than 300$) and have it evaluated by a US evaluator (ECE or WES) for like 150$ then for 450$ and 4 months of your time you can start your MBA with a regionally accredited US school in fall and be finished in a year.
If you have a GPA of over 3.0 you could gain admission into most graduate programs in business without having to take the GMAT / GRE.

Deakin University sounds like a good deal in your situation.

HAUNIV is also another great option.
It costs 3-6k$ and the school is accredited but the program itself is not AACSB.

Georgia Southwestern State University is probably one of the better deals I've seen for AACSB programs, and ticks a lot of boxes:

1. Regionally Accredited
2. Program is AACSB
3. For online program available to anyone in or out of state, or internationally, tuition is: $9,210.

Southeastern Oklahoma State University is another phenomenal deal.

3) $11,880 for the program regardless of whether in Oklahoma or not

That is $990 per 3 credit hour course or $330 per credit hour.

 

Lamar University offers another affordable, RA/AACSB accredited online MBA. The total cost is $12,626 if you don't have to take any level courses.

 

South College offers an online MBA with quarterly tuition rates that cover a range of credits:
1-9 credits: $3950/quarter (that averages down to as low as $438/credit hour at 9 hours)
10-20 credits: $5500/quarter (that averages down to as low as $275/credit hour at 20 hours)

Above 20: Additional $310/Credit Hour

Theoretically, like with WGU and some other self-paced programs, one could complete the degree in one or two quarters. If you took 30 hours in one quarter, you would pay: $8600. Two Quarters: $11,000.

This is interesting. It looks like there is a one-week immersive experience that you need to attend in the UK - but the price is definitely a great value - I'm not familiar enough with British and European accrediting though to know if this is a good prospect or not. It seems to be!

 

The National Tax Training School is accredited by the DETC.
I think it is an excellent school.
I have certificates from both of its tax courses.

Also, the Enrolled Agent license is a highly regarded credential.
