Spanish schools outsource a lot of the academic work to Venezuela. Professors in Venezuela make 100 dlls a month so the 160 for a masters pays for almost two month salary over there.

For English speaking, they outsource to Belize, Phillipines or India. They are not using Spanish citizens for this otherwise cost would be higher.

The programs are good and not any less than you typical American online school. You are required to do work similar to online schools in the US so the program is rigorous enough.

By the way, some Spanish schools are starting to offer upgrades to official degrees for extra money and a thesis. I received an upgrade offer for few thousand to upgrade to an official degree with the elaboration of a masters project for another school. ENEB might follow the same trend in the future.

I stopped taking these degrees as the market for online teaching is saturated now. I thought picking few more credits would open the doors to more teaching but I find the market is flooded with people with lots of qualifications so I am not sure how profitable is to invest time to earn low profile credentials even if accredited with a market that is flooded.

Having 10 masters from Isabel 1 in your resume is not going to help much in a saturated economy.

I wonder would they count for 30 hours towards a Bachelors or possibly graduate hours for an upgrade to an accredited Masters. Maybe even an overlap between the two. I guess it depends on the evaluator. If these can be transferred into a Bachelors, that would be good considering ECE evaluated the Master Propio as a Bachelors on the Isabel I side. This would be highly recommended for someone who has done 2 to 3 years of college and has ideally earned at least an Associates degree because either they can get it evaluated based on a Master Propio as a Bachelors based on the Universidad Isabel I diploma if they were admitted without a completed Bachelors already or transfer into the Big 3 to complete the Bachelors if not top-up with an accredited Masters.

With the evaluations received so far, ENEB is a non-accredited Masters but their certification from Universidad Isabel I diploma makes them a Bachelors. So much fluidity with this considering the price.

Going back to the resume thing though, the mismatch would be challenging. I don't think you can get into the ENEB MBA without a Bachelor's degree. If you could, maybe someone with an Associates, who completes the ENEB MBA and then gets it evaluated as a Bachelor's degree, uses that to get admission into an RA Master's and then takes the ENEB off their resume...however, with all that work they may as well spend the hours they would have spent doing the ENEB degree working and use that money to pay for their upper level Bachelor's courses.

Good point.... I was looking at the cost savings of it as ENEB could be as inexpensive or more so than ACE credits. It would be best to continue the traditional route and get the ENEB MBA/Masters after a Bachelors. With a Bachelor's degree, the best path would likely be to have it evaluated as graduate hours for transfer regardless of how the degree qualification is stated. Everyone seems to be getting the evaluation for the degree only. I would like to see a full one which includes course credits.

I only have experience with excelsior. Excelsior accepts ECE evaluations, ECE evaluates titulos propios for credit and gives them a level which in this case would be graduate. As these credits are masters level can count for both BS and MS but Masters degree have only a limited amount of credit transfer.

The degree is not accredited but the credits are. The other option is a British degree that accepts credit transfer like a top up degree.

They do ask for a copy of your bachelor but would consider you if you have experience or certificates or other non official education. As it is not an official degree, the admission is very flexible.

You also have to take into consideration the education you get, the materials are of good quality and you get a decent education from this program. Each class has a project and online exams, not so different from other online schools. The materials are well designed and relevant.

You do get a Masters degree so it is legal to put it in your CV as such. Not all the employers need a WES or another NACES evaluation from the degree so it might do for a lot of people.

There is nothing laughable about it as some people suggests here. The program trains you to do a job and I think it does help you.

I completed a coaching postgraduate diploma and I am using it, I was given the opportunity to work in executive coaching because of it so it served me well. Again, I have regular and traditional degrees, this diploma was just to get noticed for a new job.

One evaluator (WES) evaluated it as equivalent to a U.S. unaccredited Master's. Another evaluator (ECE) evaluated it as equivalent to a U.S. regionally accredited Bachelor's degree.

That would also make you look nuts because it wouldn't be believable. Then even if people believed it, you'd still look nuts just for putting them all down.

While the current situation is not bad by any means, ENEB could improve the ECE evaluation matter by offering a 120 ECTS Master's. Then ECE couldn't take the highly questionable 3-year Bachelor's angle where they said their evaluation was also based on a completed 60 ECTS program representing the 4th year of a Bachelor's degree. At 120, it would now be a 5th year which is equivalent to a 1-year Masters.

If the auto-evaluation program Azteca and UCN has on their sites is accurate, a 4-year bachelor's degree (240 ECTS) would grant a student admission into one of their Doctoral programs. WES was not evaluating degrees from either school last time I checked, but fortunately, there are of course other evaluators out there. However, the 60 ECTS Master's like the ones ENEB offers would not be enough and an associate degree is only 120 ECTS, so a student would still be 60 shy.

Just another example of something derided by a small group online actually working fine in the physical world.

Hey, can you check your PM? I sent you something. I'd really appreciate your take on it.

I'd rather not go through the whole 58 pages of that thread on DegreeForum to find it, but wasn't there also one evaluator a while back whose opinion was that it equated to a postgraduate certificate?

I'm not sure, but I do remember reading here and at least one other place how some were going to list them as PGdip's. I still say that's a bad idea because it's going to put a person in a weird situation where they may have to actually explain having a degree (lol) and not a postgraduate diploma if more information is requested.

My personal feeling is, either list it as it is, or don't list it at all because trying to be self-effacing in this way is still, in the end, lying.

I don't think anyone here has had Universidad Isabel I / ENEB evaluated as a PGdip yet. I think that was mentioned as a possibility as another Master Propio that was done by one of the members of this forum at another school. The only two I've heard people getting evaluations from are ECE and WES for Universidad Isabel I / ENEB. Another post mentioned possibly getting them done by IEE for graduate credit with no degree evaluated.

Maybe that's what I was thinking of. It was for 30 credits, wasn't it?

Technically yes! They could either be transferred into a degree at another school or even used for post-masters coursework into a doctorate depending on the receiving school's requirements. Someone may even be able to use this evaluation of 30 credits to add another teaching specialty to become a full time or adjunct instructor in business provided they already have a Masters or above.

Hmm, I think they're trying to expand their program reach, which is a great idea, by practically placing their ads anywhere (I think this is a bit overboard, but that's my view).
