I'm not saying this was the closest uS prez election ever. I think I've posted here about much closer ones. What I'm saying is DJT dropped the ball on this one.

There are some significant issues with mail-in voting. There are serious issues with current voting systems in terms of verification, access, fraud, etc. Anyway, if this helps push reform it doesn't seem like such a bad thing. Won't help with THIS election, but it should still be improved. Get Biden in there already. Crazy days lay ahead!

Like what? More than 50 failed lawsuits belie that.

    Where's the evidence?

Ballots unintentionally being sent to the wrong address.
People voting using ballots that are not theirs.
    Ballots arriving late.
    Ballots not having signatures.
Ballots or envelopes marked incorrectly, with possibly nobody around to help with issues.
Ballots missing postmark (although I have read but not confirmed that USPS will deliver regardless).
    Politicizing postal admins.
    Ballot harvesting.
Altering of ballot request forms by outside parties.
    Carriers tossing ballots.
    Elderly manipulation.
How many hands/machines does a ballot go through from creation to final tally?
Ballots knowingly requested by voter for precinct where voter is not a resident. Multiple states?
Ballots sent automatically to addresses where that person no longer resides.
    Ballot brokers.

Christopher Krebs is the DHS director in charge of election security that was fired by Trump for saying that 2020 was the most secure and fraud free election in the nation's history. An example of some of the things Krebse helped to improve was getting more states to adopt paper ballots. Georgia in 2016 did not have paper ballots. In 2020 Georgia did two hand recounts of the election results. They could do this proving that the conspiracy theory that the voting machines corrupted the vote was hog wash because Georgia had switched to paper ballots.

I'm not saying things are perfect but they have improved some in part because of Russia interfering in the 2016 election.

Sorry, but none of that has been alleged by the Trump campaign, or it has been abandoned.

The suit that is before the Supreme Court does not allege voter fraud at all.

I haven't tried to support any Trump allegations. I brought up issues with mail-in voting and the uSA voting system in general.

An explanation of why Russia's hackers may be better than ours. Education systems.

North Korea has an effective system: Good hackers get FED and PAID better. Works for them. Not a suggestion, of course - just what We The West are up against.

Many North Korean hackers are sent to a centre in China for "finishing school."

Susan Gordon, former principal deputy director of national intelligence, says the massive cyberattack targeting federal agencies “will take years to overcome.”
We are hearing it started 8 months ago.

The Department of Homeland Security, the State Department and the National Institutes of Health
So far, the list of affected U.S. government entities reportedly includes the Commerce Department, the Department of Homeland Security, the Pentagon,
the Treasury Department, the U.S. Postal Service and the National Institutes of Health, NSA - Nuclear Agency.
In a statement Thursday, the Department of Energy acknowledged its computer systems had been compromised.

How can they say that elections was secure?
When they been hacked for long time themselves for 8 moths.?

In an “Antrim Michigan Forensics Report” dated Dec. 13, the personnel of Allied Security Operations Group — a team of defense, military, Secret Service and intelligence professionals, led in part by an academic from Harvard with expertise in business and technology — found this: the Dominion Voting System in place in Antrim County, Michigan, for the 2020 election hardly passed the smell test. It recorded a 68% error rate. Oops.

    Big oops.

DHS was hacked by Russians for 8 months and didn't discover that?
How can they say that election was secure?

I have not seen any assertions that Russia broke into any voting systems in 2020.

I have not seen any assertions that Russia modified the data only read the data in the systems that they did break into. I'm not saying they didn't but keep in mind that it is much more difficult to modify data when hacking than to just read the data. It is much more likely that modifying data will be discovered than just reading data.

If Russia was doing the hacking they would have helped Trump not helped Biden. Putin admitted at Helsinki that he wanted Trump to win in 2016.

The other reasons have already been explained. Paper ballots cannot be hacked. Recounts did not find significant differences from original counts. There is no evidence that there was widespread voter fraud in the 2020 elections. For most people that don't see a conspiracy around every corner that is good evidence that there was not any widespread voter fraud. Trump lost by over 7,000,000 votes. That is a very large margin. The people have spoken. That is the way that democracy is supposed to work. Trump lost by a very large margin. It was not really even close. Biden will be the duly elected President at noon on January 20. Trump will probably continue to be a sore loser spreading all kinds of lies about it for the rest of his life.

What I was trying to say is how the agency that said elections was secure didn't notice for 8 months that they been compromised by hackers?
Unfortunately with all the respect some may think that there is credibility issue.
I understand that in most states the balots were counted without fraud. But the allegations are about 5 states out if 50.
As to 7 million votes , all that Biden needed to win is around 140 K, or less then 200,000 votes.
It means in some states 10 to 20 K votes made the difference.
People regular working people, who reported irregularities under oat are demonized on social networks?
What is this Soviet Union? They are trying to do the right thing report what they seen, observed etc.
But their reports not only ignored, they are facing attacks and some even been fired.

I don't expect (or want) that to happen for a long, long time, Steve. Lerner is about 18 years younger than Trump (I checked ) - and as far as I know, Lerner does not eat cheeseburgers in bed.

Maybe I'll get to see this thread end, maybe not. I had a "future" dream a while ago that I was at my second-youngest grandson's 40th birthday. (He has just turned 17.) I will be exactly 100 then. His father (my son) will be 73. Yeah, that'd be a nice party. :)
