Well, Lerner -- you can't scare US with Baba Yaga. You'll have to rely on the Radical Left, I guess. :)

“Texas brought a suit against four states that did something they cannot do: they violated the U.S. Constitution in their conduct of the presidential election. And this violation occurred regardless of the amount of election fraud that may have resulted. The four defendant states are Georgia, Michigan, Pennsylvania, and Wisconsin. Texas filed the suit directly in the Supreme Court. Article III of the Constitution lists a small number of categories of cases in which the Supreme Court has ‘original jurisdiction.'”

Meaning they can hear the case the first time it’s presented. Supreme Court’s an appellate court. And you gotta go through a bunch of different appeals stages to even get there. But this case can be heard the first time at the Supreme Court.

Yes, because it is (supposedly) a dispute between states. That's pretty routine.

Here's a bet: they'll reject it without hearing it.

Once all the challenges end, I think they will focus on 2024.
But the people who challenged the results will regain some trust in elections system.
Knowing SCOTUS looked at things, and other state courts as well.

The court challenges are stupid, but they're not harmless. They've given excuse for all kinds of harmful shenanigans regarding the transition to the Biden administration. They've given excuse for lots of right-wingers to stay in denial about the outcomes. They've given excuse for self-appointed armed "militias" to harass and threaten public figures.

But they're not the real problem.

The real problem is with Trump committing crimes by soliciting public figures to break the law, as well as conspiring to do so. I'm sick of having a criminal in the White House.

I know it's early to really get a fair historical perspective of the rank that Trump will eventually settle in when ranked against all the Presidents. He hasn't really done much. Hi legacy will be crimes, corruption, and mishandling the pandemic, I'll guess. I guess he did pass a big tax break where 80% of the tax break went to the top 1% of wage earners. I don't think history will look reflect extra kindly on that though. Anyway in the current rankings he's in the bottom quarter of the rankings.

I think these court challenges are not stupid but necessary.
But this is as far as it needed to go. Allegations of voter fraud and testimonies of irregularities needed to be checked.
We had challenges in 2016 and even in places like Atlanta GA fires and rioting by the left.
    Nov 2016:
Angry protesters hit the streets of Atlanta Wednesday night setting fires to garbage and rioting making it clear that they are not ready to accept Donald Trump as their president.
"We are angry, we are hurt, we are in disbelief and in shock,"
Their frustration came hours after Trump delivered his victory speech.
While HRC conceded what came after was horrible, 4 years of constant sabotage by the left and the media.

They're unfounded, which is evident by the results--and their vacuity.
    Done. None.
Yeah. One protest. Big deal. Did they arm themselves and surround an election official's home? Did Clinton file 50 lawsuits? Did Clinton call up election officials and ask them to break the law? No, of course not. That's not what adults--and Americans--do.
This is nonsensical drivel coming from the likes of Fox News and Rush Limbaugh. You need to get out more.

Update on TX lawsuit by a member of Trump legal team:

How can it be "updated"? It's been filed, right? So, that's not an update, it's a PR move.

The "added" states are not actually added. They are the states that must respond before the Supremes dismiss it.

The video brings zero new news.

This will not receive a hearing.

While I was driving earlier i heard 17 states support TX in their lawsuit.
It wasn't stated how, but that 17 states joined.
And the President Trump as well.

The suit will not be heard. It fails on Constitutional grounds, it attempts to disenfranchise more than 20 million voters, and there is no compelling reason the Supreme Court needs to hear it, especially since it is a re-hash of so many other failed suits. Rushed, it even gets the number of Electoral College votes wrong.

Keep in mind, the safe harbor day has passed, and more than enough states have already certified that Biden has more than 270 EC votes. Game over.

All one can do is laugh. The poor souls are being jerked around by their nose so much that they have not a clue what is happening. Especially when they insist on getting their news from folks like Rush Limbaugh and
    Sean Hannity
    Quote:
Sean Hannity caught the ire of lots of folks on Monday night when he appeared to tell his Fox News viewers that he doesn’t “vet the information on this program I give out.”

It was an idea that didn’t surprise many of the folks who ripped Hannity for this comment, since Hannity has been constantly pushing numerous baseless conspiracy theories about the presidential election over the past month. He even had disgraced former Trump lawyer Sidney Powell, who was fired by the Trump campaign recently after repeatedly coming up with bizarre and outlandish conspiracies, on his radio show on Monday.

The irony of Hannity’s statement about not fact checking the things he says on his show is that he said it while complaining about other members of the media.

Donald Trump is like a kidney stone. It will hurt for a little while longer, but this shall pass.

Right. Trump isn't the deranged one, his critics are. Sure.

Which party is extra-judiciously and illegally trying to nullify the election?

Meh, I don't like or trust Trump, but I haven't become irrational about it, or emotionally unglued over it. Most critics haven't, but my gosh there are a LOT who have taken the leap.

Which party is illegally trying to nullify the election? I'm guessing that since it's you who is asking the question, the answer is "the Republican Party"? I'm not REAL into this, so I haven't heard, but have any arrests been made yet? Any civil suits moving forward?

I've read a little bit about what the vote controversies are. I do think the system is susceptible to a lot of fraud, and obviously with the numbers being so close it became a big deal this cycle. My thing is, this should have been addressed back in April when it was looking like mail-ins were going to be a big issue.

And they (the people who care) should have known anti-social distancing measures were going to result in things like we're now seeing. I don't have an issue with suits being filed to get to the truth. Hopefully this leads to a better system, but we know it won't.

To me, it's just another indicator that it's time for the uSA to balkanize. This marriage cannot be saved, so stop making people stay together who absolutely hate each other.

The election in 2020 is not close at all when compared to the 2016 election. The electoral college final tally is identical, except Trump is on the losing side. Trump lost the popular vote in 2016 by just under 3 million but lost the popular vote in 2020 by 7 million votes. While the vote count in the battle ground states separated Trump from defeat by about 77,000 votes in 2016, Trump is separated from victory in the battleground states by almost 300,000 votes in 2020.

Mail-in ballots were not a problem, Trump just talked about them being a problem because he knew that Democrats would use mail-in ballots in much greater numbers than would Republicans.
