Since 2013 when City And Guilds discontinued the Sr awards and outsourced the assessments to the approved providers and renamed the awards to Professional Recognition Awards, the demand decreased significantly.
This is rarely if at all discussed anymore.
I will need to check, all I recall it was Charter member service of NACES.
And the report was general, since there are no classes.
Also long time ago AACRAO foreign credentials evaluation evaluated GCGI award as a RA equivalent Bachelors degree or something like that.

Does anyone have any info about BCS (British Computer Society) qualifications and if they can be take online?

I spent a while on their site - could find nothing about online providers. It also seems that exams have to be written at their centres - which are in various countries, listed on the site. Not ONE listing for online providers of their programs. Seems you're supposed to head to your nearest participating adult ed. centre. That surprises me.

Another thing that surprises me is that they are withdrawing their Digital Skills qualification completely. No certs after Dec. 31 2020. Reason: Adobe has withdrawn Flash support. I've known this was coming for a while. Didn't think it was going to mean the end of the Internet. Pretty drastic reaction! They sound miffed.

This place is just full of surprises... I apologize on their behalf. Somebody has to.

BCS accredits schools and universities, so instead of taking their , certificate, Diploma and Graduate Diploma in IT or Software Development one can enroll in a school that offers
similar qualifications online. That is if Professional registration with BCS is the goal.
In the USA you may find that UK university certificate, diploma, degree etc may be better utility then BCS certificate, diploma, graduate diploma etc etc.

As to Flash, yes its an issue that is affecting many training providers.

I appreciate the valuable info on alternatives to direct BCS instruction, Lerner. Thanks very much for those.

As to Flash - I'm not a pro, yet even I can list around ten alternative technologies that are being used in its place. My son teaches a couple-three of them to high-schoolers. What the heck is the big problem? When DOS was taken off life support, many years ago - there were other Operating Systems. Things change. I'm OK with that. We're supposed to be. So are training providers - especially so, I'd think.
