Christianity is interesting strong religion, the only loyalty is to God, the whole earth belongs to God.
So when you have Christians live in any country, its their must to convert the country to Christianity, and establish submission to God - Theocratic law.

I think comparison needs to be made apples to apples.
Thanks God Christianity today is not the same as it was a 1000 years ago. Today its more tolerant and accepting of the non Christians.

Islam today is much more zealot, and if you offend the prophet you may get beheaded. Sharia law is the goal and it is actively pursued.
At this time Muslim Brotherhood in the west is doing this in a non violent way.
I didn't check recently but Islam is the most growing religion on our planet, Muslims will increase
more than twice as fast as the overall world population in the next 30 years.
If I'm not mistaken, numerically Christians in decline in the US? I speculate as I didn't check.
Islam is growing in Mexico, and other neighboring countries.

And another achievement for President Trump is the ban of refugees from radical Islamist countries that hate us and want to destroy us.
France better understands today so is Germany.

Statism is interesting strong religion, the only loyalty is to the State, the whole earth belongs to the State.
So when you have Statists live in any country, its their must to convert the country to Statism, and establish submission to the State - Collectivist law.

Theirs (Muslims') is not the only proselytizing religion. Roman Catholics feel obliged to spread the word too. Jehovah's Witnesses feel they have to knock on doors and I've seen Seventh Day Adventist 'Elders' "working" city buses here - striking up conversations with other passengers in the hope of bringing them "into the fold." Young adults have this "duty" as missionaries for - I think - two years. Always crisp white shirts and name tags e.g. "ELDER JAMES." Looks like a men-only job.

I once said in a degree-forum that something I liked about Judaism was that Jews didn't actively seek converts. "Oh, but they do," replied a knowledgeable, educated Jew - and proceeded to give examples I was unaware of.

    Oy!

I think you mean Latter Day Saints (Mormons), not Seventh Day Adventists. I've seen, rarely, female Mormons with name tags preaching.

With JWs, there's one major difference from the other groups. While the leadership does exercise a high level of control over their own community, they are apolitical and will actually disfellowship (excommunicate, or categorically shun) members who engage in political activity, unless they repent.

This is good because in our days Politics is everywhere.

I have a niece that did two year missionary for the LDS. I don't know if she went door to door like the boys or not, but that was my assumption? They must handle them differently though because I know that they try to be pretty strict with the missionaries having as little interaction with the opposite sex during their missions as possible.

Yes indeed. And that's a good thing. I think they're often able, too, to present a united front when it's needed. That's important as well. As I see it, Christian groups often don't share that kind of "instant cooperation."

Exactly. My mistake. Thanks for pointing it out. I haven't seen their ladies preaching here. Just the guys, trying to get one convert at a time. All young, about 20 or so. Squeaky-clean 1950s looking, all of them. White shirt, dark pants, tie and name-tag. Black back-packs, probably loaded with copies of the Book of Mormon.

Only four days are left until the counting begins. The race is still not tightening https://projects.fivethirtyeight.com/2020-election-forecast/ it may even be widening a bit. Trump's chance of winning is down to 10% for the first time. That's on fivethirtyeight. On economist Trump is only given a 3% chance of winning. https://www.economist.com/us-election-2020

OK. I'm not a Trump fan. So why do I still not feel like celebrating? :( When will I -- ever?
I can hardly wait for this thing to be over. But I won't have a good feeling either way. Good luck, America.

Quote (2016) "A total ban on Muslim Immigration." I heard the man, myself. That's what he proposed. That wasn't meant as just filtering out bad guys, as you're talking about. Maybe his people got him to walk that statement back some, but you can't seriously turn the guy into a savior over this - but you'll probably try.

I'm not a Trump fan either and I'm definitely not celebrating either. The Biden lead is razor thin in the swing states. This election could easily be either a razor thin win for either party or a landslide for Biden.

Don't worry, if any political discussion does break out I'm sure that we will all share the same view and agree on everything.

    https://www.yahoo.com/news/macron-declares-france-under-attack-173746611.html

French President Emmanuel Macron declared Thursday that France is “under attack,” hours after an Islamic terrorist wielding a knife decapitated a woman and killed two other people at a church in southern France.

Johann, I hope no one is publishing offensive caricatures in Canada or US etc.

    Who is next?
