Amazing. You might check out https://jjmccullough.com/ for a Western Canadian and oddly non-anti-American take. He's a fairly widely published and wonderfully realistic commentator on politics, government and culture in the Great White North. Doesn't have much use for Trudeau, though.
I was unsurprised (although not pleased) to see NDP win a majority of seats in yesterday's BC Legislative Assembly election despite only getting a minority of votes. It's really a shame that the proportional representation referendum didn't succeed.
I was surprised to find out Canada has politics. I just assumed they gently and caringly agreed on everything.
Oh, no. No, no. Canadians surpass each other in heaping abuse on the other side(s). It's just that their use of English is more subtle and effective than American political invective has become. It should be noted that one common accusation is that one or another opponent's approach is too "American" and therefore "un-Canadian". Horrors!
