The airplane was a total loss, though.

If I had a high order of woodworking skills, instead of NONE, I would build a harpsichord. Plenty of kits out there but despite the assurances of the various vendors, you need solid skills and good tools to build one.

I have to laugh...I recently re-watched the classic of animation, Snoopy flying his doghouse against the Red Baron and being shot down behind enemy lines. Marvelous work!

I was thinking of these, as a possible alternative when I advised you NOT to build a piano. I remember ads for = I think - Zuckermann Harpsichords back 55 years ago or more. Back then, I often thought about building one once I owned a decent house to put it in. Never did it. Closest I got was when a friend parked his Fender Rhodes electric piano/organ in our living room for a couple of years. That was nice to have around.

Re: building. I think I might have been suffering from over-confidence and under-ability as well. For the best, I guess. Is the Zuckermann Co. still in business?

I remember making a flute in the woodshop class, not sure if it was 6th grade or 7th.
How amazed I was when it actually worked, it made sounds. This is the only musical instrument that I made.
I did modify a lot of guitars, changing pickups, and assembling effects such as Wawa, Sustain, Delay, etc etc etc.
I constructed my own pre-amps and amps etc. Still, to this day love messing with sound and achieving the sound I love.

When I was in high school I had a friend whose dad put together a harpsichord. He did a good job, but they're legendary for getting out of tune quickly and his was no exception.

I was checking the exchange rates today. Did you know that $US15.1M equals 100,549,390 in Chinese Yuan? You don't? I bet I know someone who does....

For your first time, you should build a virginal! :) https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Virginals

It's a flagrant violation of the emoluments clause at the very least. I wonder if that income was declared as a bribe from a foreign government?

Thinking about this a little bit. I have a suspicion that perhaps this bit of information being sprung on him is what prompted him to storm out of the 60 minute interview! Interesting times. According to fivethirtyeight.com he has a 12% chance of winning. It has been going down steadily since August 31. I believe it would be for the good of the Republican party and the USA for him to see a landslide defeat on November 3. This could achieve that goal?

I don't know the laws about this but if this was opened before 2016 as a private citizen was it a violation?
Or should it be closed if the alleged info is correct once the person took public office?
Again some polls show a very tight race, not a landslide. In important states, electorally he leads by a few points ave 2 to 4 over Biden, who hides 5 days a week.
With less than 2 weeks to the elections day, I think it's an interesting strategy not to campaign the states and being in "hiding".
Some poles don't take into account GOP voters that simply don't poll. They even may put Biden signs in their backyards so the angry mob doesn't destroy their property.
Their only polls are the actual ellections. I think this is a tight race with Trump leading in electoral votes.
I was wrong in the past so time will show.

Virtually every digital piano has a harpsichord mode but it's all wrong. The keys feel heavier than they should and they're wider. Also the opposite colors. The z box harpsichord also has a lot wrong with it but it is a genuine harpsichord at least.

I've thought about buying Roland's c30 digital harpsichord which is supposed to more closely approximate the real thing but there's nowhere around here where I could try one first and it's a lot of money to pay on spec.

Hm. The mental rot is setting in...I split my infinitive. I blame the election.

Mental rot is caused by prescriptive grammar. But the cure is to start a sentence with a conjunction, to proudly split an infinitive and to end a sentence with whatever proposition you can think of.

The money was deposited in 2017 and subsequently withdrawn by the account holder. Or, that's how it's being reported, anyway.

Split infinitives? We'd be a lot poorer without "To boldly go." The late Gene Roddenberry is right up there with Raymond Chandler and our own nosborne48 in the highest ranks of infinitive-splitters. :)

Maybe a remake: Nosborne flying a harpsichord. Animated, of course. And appropriate music. :)
