I am a working professional with around 29+ years of experience in Aviation/Travel Management field.

I am contemplating to take a sabbatical and enrol for a classroom or an online-cum-classroom (hybrid model) Doctorate Programme.

Ph.D has been a goal for sometime, time, money, flexibility, family commitments, etc, kept me away.

Wanted to seek larger guidance from this forum on how I could start my research in finding the best programmes in either Spain, Germany or UK, where I could move in for the duration of study.

Or you start with an online CMI or Qualifi Level 8 programme to see if this is the right thing for you and transfer the corresponding credits later to a full Doctorate programme!

This is the right forum to ask those questions, so nothing to be sorry about, I guess!

In short, you can take some UK level 8 courses online and transfer them to some UK Doctorate programs later. An example would be the courses you are going to find from the CMI (Chartered Management Institute). If you look at "CMI Level 8 online courses", you are going to find some options.

I, personally, can recommend the Brighton School of Business and Management (https://www.brightonsbm.com/), I did a Level 7 course with them in 2013. Good people.

Hello Mac Juli - this seems to be a good start point and a Diploma carries 67credits.

Later then do I search for a Doctoral Program where I could transfer these credits, is there a way I could figure out which University could be an option now itself, or do I chart that later? What would be your suggestion here and how do I go about finding the places where Credits could be transferred?

    Hello!

I would suggest to search an university first and that you discuss your plans with them. That said, I do not have any further experience in this matter and cannot give you any valuable advice other than to stay away from certain so called universities from Switzerland you will inevitably find if you do further research in this matter and that you will find easily on the board here!!

    Good luck with your plans!

    Best regards,
    Mac Juli

Since you don´t mind doing a traditional offline Phd program, since you really seem to want to commit full-time to the PhD studies:
I´d go for a PhD at a German (or Austria / Switzerland) or Spanish state University. They are free of tuition fees and possess a high reputation.
